My profile picture is a fragment of a piece posted by the amazing Kaylina over on DeviantArt.
I'm 21, and I love books. I thrive on Action, Fantasy and Mystery. I live and breathe the Grey Area - that place where morals clash and the line between right and wrong is practically non-existent. Dramione is my OTP.
2. Black, Two Sugars, and a Dash of Milk
Summary: The Department of Mysteries has employed it's first Muggleborn, under pressure from the Minister. In a sea of mysogynists and blood-supremacists, Hermione Granger finds an unexpected ally in Draco Malfoy.
A sweet little oneshot with a sprinkle of fifty shades of grey references - nothing too heavy though, since I've neither read the book, nor seen the movie. Simple, light hearted, I wrote it as a cheer-me-up when life got too hectic, and I hope it works the same way for all my readers :)
1. Sacrifice, or How Draco Malfoy fell for Hermione Granger –
Summary: When she's kidnapped by death eaters, Hermione Granger learns that her blood is a key ingredient in a potion to resurrect Voldemort. However, it only works if she's a virgin. Can she convince Draco Malfoy to help her out?
So it's basically what the summary says - Hermione is about a month into her last year at Hogwarts when she's kidnapped by Death Eaters. Realizing why they've kidnapped her, she decides she has to do something to stop them. But what could she possibly do? She's stuck in a cell somewhere in Malfoy Manor, with no magic. Like any good strategist, she uses the "available resources" to her advantage - because she's gonna stop them, even if her life hangs in the balance. I'm not entirely sure where this little story came from - the darkness of my brain scares even me sometimes. A key inspiration for this story is A Twisted Comfort by Diablolita and Blessings from Malice by sarhea. Yup - inspired by other fanfics. So sue me :P NOW COMPLETE!

Common Dramione tropes:
(cuz it would have been amazing to be introduced to these when I first discovered fanfiction. This list is based on the dramione tropes page in the Harry Potter Wiki, but with my own edits and examples)
AU - a broad category of stories, most commonly where Draco joins the Order of the Phoenix at some point or events in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix or Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince are changed. Common plots involve references to Voldemort's defeat in the summer between sixth and seventh year, or scenarios where the war does not break-out until after the conclusion of seventh year. Eg: Isolation by Bex-chan, Turncoat by elizaye.
EWE - where Hermione's marriage to Ron and Draco's to Astoria is ignored and all events in the Epilogue are discarded. Probably the single most common type of Draco/Hermione fanfiction. Eg: Simply Irresistible by bookworm1993, Broken by inadaze22.
Eighth Year - where the setting is Hogwarts during Hermione's eighth year and Draco returns to school as well. Harry and Ron may or may not be present. Eg: Eight and Eighth by Marmalade Fever, Magnetic Attraction by ellamalfoy8.
Head Boy/Head Girl - Hermione is Head Girl and Draco is Head Boy, with the usual set-up involving Hogwarts Heads being given private bedrooms and bathrooms with a shared common room. Can occur during an AU Seventh Year or in an Eighth Year setting. Eg: The Bracelet by AkashaTheKitty, Suppressed Emotions by hopelesslydevoted.xx.
Pregnancy fic - where Hermione gets pregnant out of a wedlock, usually while still in Hogwarts, and Draco is the father. Eg: The Accidental Malfoy by Rumaan, A Marriage Most Convenient by AnneM.Oliver. Not my favourite type, I admit.
Pureblood fic - where Hermione discovers she is a pure blood, sent to live with Muggles to protect her. Typically, she has a twin or sibling in Slytherin House, and was betrothed at birth to Draco. Eg: Presque Toujours Pur by ShayaLonnie, The Muddy Princess by Colubrina.
Marriage Law - the Ministry has passed a law requiring purebloods and Muggle-borns to marry. Usually involves Draco and Hermione either being matched by the Ministry or a scenario where Draco or his father petitions for Draco to be matched to Hermione. Eg: Revenge Is All The Sweeter by Twilight to Midnight, Knowing You by dulce.de.leche.go.
Ministry fic - where Draco and Hermione are co-workers at the Ministry of Magic. Eg: Hunted by Bex-chan, The Case of the Creature Kidnappings by frostykitten.
Veela fic - most commonly, Draco is a Veela and Hermione is his mate. Eg: This Curse to Bear by frostykitten, Internal Yearning by LittleLowe.
Voldemort Wins - most commonly a Dystopian AU where events usually are canonical up through Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince or the majority of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but Voldemort's forces win. Harry may or may not be dead. Draco is most commonly an active Death Eater, and Hermione is usually either a slave or a rebel. Eg: Cruel and Beautiful World by Lena Phoria, The Ones Who Ran by Colubrina.
Dark Hermione - where Hermione turns evil, usually for revenge against Harry and Ron, or simply because she was evil all along. Often goes hand-in-hand with the pureblood fics, but not always. Eg: The Green Girl by Colubrina, Lady of the Lake by Colubrina.
