Author has written 16 stories for Gilmore Girls, Wild Card, Crossing Jordan, NCIS, and Life With Derek.
I started writing fan fiction approximately 13 years ago, when I was only twelve, and wrote very sporadically for years. Since November of 2015, I have really dived into one of my stories, Katie's Girl, which actually dates back years, and as of March 2016, have released an average of 10 updates (chapters) per month since then.
Writing has always been a big undertaking for me (I can't even count the number of blogs that I have floating out there with less than ten posts on them...) and having ADHD doesn't help much. But know that it's still floating around in my head. I think of it at the very least, weekly, and I go through phases where it's a constant daydream for weeks on end. I would love to do something with it one day, but I don't know that it will work out the way I had planned. Considering it starts at the beginning of Season 3 of NCIS, and we are now into Season 13, that's a lot of catching up to do. I remember when I started thinking about the story, Kaye would have only been about 12 or 13 at the time. Now, she would be around 18.
Anyway, know that this story is a part of me, and I fully intend on updating, however I may have to redo the frame in which I present it to you. Thanks to those who peek in on it once in awhile. Keep it up. I'm going to work on it. :)
More info on Katie's Girl:
This story has been running through my head since somewhere between Rivkin and the Reynosa Cartel (Season 7-8). A lot has happened on the show since then. I even remember contemplating a storyline in which I would have Vance's wife die suddenly, probably in a car accident, to aid in what I wanted to accomplish with some characters. Just a few months later, I was quite surprised by what was written into the show.
With all of that time passing, a lot of ideas have piled up, some of them put in the back of my mind for later, others thought out so completely it's mildly concerning, and some tossed away in favor of other more solid ones.
In any case, there's a lot that has happened to our favorite characters in that time. We've seen Ziva rise up and eventually leave, we've been through Jeanne and the Frog, Jenny, Mike, Dornaget, and others. We've seen Tim go from a shy puppy dog to Tony's equal. Tony has gone from playboy to serious agent, and Gibbs has been through hell and back.
With ALL of that in mind, there is a lot to explore with this story, something that I hope to accomplish over time. When I began this story, I had three OTP's (ironic, I know) in this show. Jibbs (Jenny and Gibbs), Tiva (Tony and Ziva), and McAbby (McGee and Abby). I would have told you off if you asked me to consider anything else. But again, the show has changed a lot. Canonically, "Jibbs" can't happen, "Tiva" is at best extremely EXTREMELY unlikely to happen now, and not too long ago, they completely friendzoned "McAbby" in a way that sounds pretty darn permanent. Though the fanfiction-er in me will always like those pairings, if I aim to write this story around the canon, I'll have to adjust.
I can not and will not promise anything. But that's what floats through my mind for this story. Do I hope it will one day be one of those epics that many people read and stick with to the end? Yes. Do I have any clue if that's even possible knowing me? Nope.
To those who continue to read: Thanks.
That's all I can really say.
