ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome! The name's Kitty, I'm an ENFJ-A, and I have an unhealthy penchant for angst. :)

My dream is to eventually become a doctor and to continue advancing in my Chinese studies. I got sucked into the wonders of the fanfiction world when I was in middle school, so I enjoy writing whenever I'm not studying. Outside of writing and school, I like traveling, languages, sports and learning about everything and anything.

My favorite fandoms to write in are Percy Jackson and Miraculous Ladybug, though Merlin is another one close to my heart. The length of my stories seems to vary a bit from fandom to fandom for some reason. For example, whenever I write something for Percy Jackson, I always end up with sprawling stories. However, the longest thing I've written for Miraculous Ladybug so far is 10,000 words. I also have a tendency to lurk in the How to Train Your Dragon fandom. A lot.

If you want to read something I've written, I'd recommend you look at either Speak or A Crown of Golden Leaves. ACOGL is my favorite project, my longest, and it's also the most complex because I have several plotlines going on at the same time that don't start coming to a head until much later in the story. What started out as a 10 chapter character study has evolved into a 40 chapter coming-of-age epic where Annabeth grows a backbone and Percy learns what it means to be a hero, while learning to support each other. (Also, tragedy is the second genre because yes yes, that is my jam, I love writing tragedy. If you want a happy ending, don't read the second part.) Speak is one of my favorite oneshots because I can emphasize with Adrien a lot, and it shows in my writing here.

By the way, I'm on various writing platforms such as Wattpad, Archive of Our Own, and Whimsical Wanderings if you don't like to read on fanfiction.net. I also have a bunch of Older Fanfictions on my former account, OfDragonsAndMen if you want to laugh at my first attempts at writing.

The ideas have been brewing in the back of my mind for years, so it's going to be a long one, too - the plot for ACOGL had been in my head for over 2 years before I sat down and wrote it, and we all know what happened to that, lol. This is going to have elements of "Making History" by Arcawolf, "Hitchups" by The Arctic Repartee, stuff from Ben-Hur because the original version of that movie is awesome, and bits and pieces of the books will be woven into the plot because I seriously adore the idea of Dragonese.
