 Author has written 10 stories for How to Train Your Dragon, and Lord of the Rings. Me: I am a thirty year old male with a boring office job involving numbers and risk, but that is unimportant. I have always been fascinated by dragons. More broadly I am intrigued by stories or myths that involve any non-human, sentient beings. This is what Tolkien referred to as the 'Fairy Story', i.e. a story that explores the interactions between humans and fantastical creatures. In other words, we can give up on our dreams for a better world and maybe the world will change for the better. For these reasons, this film is a narrative failure and is completely unbecoming of the franchise. |
