Since the day I picked up my first Sherlock Holmes story, I've been enamored with the man, but only after finding him again as an adult did I discover there was such a thing as fan fiction. I lurked on this site several years ago, though was chased away forthwith by RDJ movie fic and the avalanche of slash/OOCness the fandom was buried under. Not that I haven't meekly peeked back in on occasion, but absence does make the heart grow fonder. My recent interest in other fandoms in addition to a re-reading of Canon has only solidified my love for the great detective and his doctor. So I've finally decided to immerse myself completely. Never mind how old I am.

This time around, I am finally getting to that pile of old bookmarked fics I've been meaning to read for years, and am determined to be more of a participant with reviewing. I might even try my hand at writing down some ideas that have been swirling about my brain for so long...
