Author has written 6 stories for Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, and Harry Potter.
I love books and stories, for me, they are an escape to another world. Whenever I go to a library or look through my books I think to myself, "where to today." I'm always sad when a story ends so I love fan-fiction for helping keep the stories alive.
Unfortunately, I have a terrible habit of only writing when I am inspired, the bane to many of my friends existence, I probably have a dozen unfinished stories saved on my computer, not all fan-fiction. Hopefully, I will be able to stay on one and finish before my imagination demands I start another but I cannot promise that.
Why do I write?
I can't remember the first time I heard a story, I can't remember the first story I ever read myself. I can't even remember the feelings that it left in my soul. But I have to reason that without having heard other stories, other people's thoughts, I wouldn't be able to do so myself. If I didn't know what imagination was, I don't think I would have any. . . so why do I write? For the simple reason to provide other people this opportunity. I love reading, I love finding a story that calls to my heart. I cry with the characters, I sing with them, I rejoice with them. It's an odd to have feelings for people and things that don't exist, yet here I am. I write because my mind is full of stories; people and places, love and lost, full of feelings. I write so other people have the opportunity to see that, to read and embrace another story, another life. A person only lives once, but through books and tales, through myths and legends, we can live a thousand lives.
