Afternoon, and welcome to the new trimmer, more slender profile of THE Jessica X. I write gay things. Fear me, and tremble in my wake... and post many reviews.
As has become necessary, I ask that you please put in careful consideration before reviewing. Remember, praise and constructive criticism are a lot more welcome than flaming or micromanaging. Fic authors do this for free, you know.
No promises, no expectations, no disappointments. I think it's a good motto, since I write whatever wanders through my brain whenever the mood strikes me.
PERSONAL: Don't ask for my picture, my age, my measurements, or my blood type. Those are closely-guarded secrets ;)
Indeed, I have a Day Job. It involves sitting around and being bored a great deal. Luckily, this also means when no one is looking I can type up a page or two of my next sapphic yarn that all shall collectively roll their eyes at; it's all about fringe benefits, isn't it? Said job also earns me decent enough money to further my disgusting habits, such as shoving chocolate into my face, buying clothes and the newest albums by my favourite musicians when they're on sale, and frequenting IKEA's "As-Is" section to see what I may be able to rescue.
PROFESSIONAL: Yes, I aspire to be a "real" author. Yes, I've written original fiction. No, I'm not on FictionPress. No, my books are not flying off the shelves in your local Barnes & Noble. I'm nestled into that ugly limbo between everything, where you're doing what you love and seeing absolutely no profit from it, prompting your family to badger you incessantly with the "So when are you going to get a real job?" vitriol. However, at the very least, my lofty goal is to outdo Stephanie Meyer. If I can't even achieve that...
