Author has written 1 story for League of Legends, and RWBY.
I know this story is being updated slowly as it is, but my interest can only be held by one thing for so long. Between working on other projects (including at least one that will be out soon), trying my hand at beta reading, and doing actual-real-work, I don't have time to keep writing LHT at my expected quality.
The story isn't dead, it's going on a temporary hiatus because I'm working on other stuff. Check back in a couple months.
Favorite quotes? Okay...
"Everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its entire life believing that it is stupid." - Albert Einstein.
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can take them in any direction you choose." - Dr. Seuss.
"Ignorance is a virus. Once it starts spreading, it can only be cured by reason. For the sake of humanity, we must be that cure." - Neil deGrasse Tyson
"Life is sacred. That is to say, it is the supreme value to which all other values are subordinate." - Albert Einstein.
"Equality is like gravity. We need it to stand on this earth as men and women, and the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is a life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who's confronted with it." - Joss Whedon
"So long as there's two people left on this planet, someone's gonna want someone dead."
"Violence is the first refuge of the incompetent." - Issac Asimov.
"Perfection is moving goal. Can chase. Cannot catch." - Abathur, Starcraft II Heart of the Swarm
"Art is never finished, only abandoned." - Leonardo da Vinci
"Any technology, no matter how primitive, is magic to those who don't understand it." - Florence Ambrose, Freefall (It's a webcomic, look it up.)
"The universe is under no obligation to make sense to you." - Neil deGrasse Tyson
"Never let anyone tell you something is impossible." - Monty Oum
Maybe that's enough now...
Greetings fellow procrastinating readers! I am somewhat proud to introduce you to my personal profile! I am a normal, boring, and lonely college guy who enjoys playing with his imagination (what did you think I was going to say?) and decided to put his ideas up on the internet. This account is incredibly unprofessional, but I will try my best to make sure that the stories are high quality, even if that means that I might finish my first story while in a retirement home.
I do not plan on having any kind of rigorous update schedule, and I check my work 10 times over before submitting it. This means that there will probably be a long waiting period between uploads for that one person out there who cares that much about these fics (hi mom!). Just kidding, no one I know in real life can connect me to this account, and hopefully it will stay that way. I want this to be as separate from my normal life as possible, so that means that none of you will know where I am. Because of both this and the long time between story updates, I will update my profile if I ever take a long break or give up on fanfics altogether so that you guys know when to stop constantly refreshing the profile page.
I currently have 6 fully-formed plot ideas, so at my current writing speed I might be able finish the third one on my deathbed. Regardless, If you guys are wondering weather or not I've abandoned one of my stories, know that I wouldn't have started it without fully intending on finishing it. If I do decide to cancel a story, I'll tell you and give you a good reason.
At time of writing, I am a very inexperienced writer. So as much as I love writing for myself, I do want my stories to be as good as possible. In leu of a beta reader, I am relying on you (yes YOU there, the fat guy sitting at the computer with cheeto dust on your face) to tell me what I am doing well so that I can keep doing it, and what I am doing wrong so that I can change it. If you want to be an extra-special internet star child, you could even be my beta reader to lift this horrible burden from your anonymous comrades.
On a more recent, somber note, the RWBY fans among you know that Monty Oum (creator of RWBY and many more awesome things) passed away on Sunday, Feb. 1st. What stood out to me the most about this is just how emotional fans have been about his death. The RT community obviously loved Monty for his incredible work and they've continued to show it. In the memorium post that informed us of his death, we're told: "In leu of flowers or gifts, we ask that you do something creative. Use your imagination to make the world a better place in any way that you can. If you know Monty like we do, then you know he would certianly be doing that if he were able to." Later that day, Fanfiction was flooded with RWBY fics that, through the author's own creativity, payed more respect to his memory than any number of R.I.P.s.
Thus, I implore you, the person reading this, to take that idea to heart. In my eyes, an extreme workaholic has just taken a well-deserved and overdue break, and in the mean time, he has passed the torch to us. All of us, including you. Don't let that torch fall. Instead, use that fire to fuel your creativity. All of us have something we want to create, and Monty was a shining example of someone who followed through with that. He never had any formal animation training, nor was there ever any divine intervention that told him what to do with his life. He just decided to do it, and devoted his time and passion to seeing his work through.
So when you decide on what to create, be it RWBY or something else, put forth the effort. Don't just give the idea a half-hearted existence, or give up before you've really tried. Find the drive and the motive to make something amazing because, regardless of what you may tell yourself, you CAN do it. It won't be easy, it won't be quick, and you almost certainly won't get it right the first time. But, it is possible and in the end, it will be very much worth it.
As Monty himself said: "Can you match my resolve? If so then you will succeed. I believe that the human spirit is indomitable. If you endeavor to achieve, it will happen given enough resolve. It may not be immediate, and often your greater dreams is something you will not achieve within your own lifetime. The effort you put forth to anything transcends yourself, for there is no futility even in death."
So find your interest and start creating. I know I have.
Thanks for reading, and have a nice day!
