![]() Author has written 15 stories for Harry Potter. March 2025 The New story, Expired Potion is ready to begin posting. Apprentice Tom and I hope you enjoy it. The Great Lie was co-written with Tom. He posted it on his page. It's a fun tale to read. The Core Wars was a fun tale. Apprentice Tom has written a fleshed-out adversary. Harry's task is far harder in this tale and the ministry has its hands full as well. The Debate was a delightful tale to write. I was so happy that people seemed to enjoy it. It is a far richer tale due to Vashon Beader's efforts. Unintended consequences is a completely different story concept. Imagine that you lose access to the electricity, water, gas, your car and your phone. What would happen? Suppose the same sort of thing happened in the magical world. How would they get by? Tom and KBO provided help and advice. When i was done with the first chapter of Unintended Consequences, I realized that the Great Wandout idea could be taken into fifty different directions. Here is my Great Wandout challenge; Harry defeats Riddle and the horcruxes in the first chapter. The fate of the Death Eaters and their spouses is up to you. There are 30,000 witches and wizards in Britain, a total of about 300,000 throughout Europe. How far Harry's spell went is up to you. It could be just Britain or much farther. Harry does not remember casting the spell. The fate of the wandcrafters in the various countries is up to you. DD is dead. The availability of core material is up to you. The availability of wandmasters who can teach wandcrafting is extremely limited. The ICW functionality is up to you. You are welcome to use my O/C Daryl. Gringotts reaction is up to you. They may be hostile, choose to ignore the situation, or be quite helpful. Cheers O-C There are so few post-Riddle stories that have held my interest. Far too often the wizarding world resembled bombed out Berlin, circa 1945, or Harry being head auror, or in a bad relationship with Ginny. My thought is for the HP fics to thrive well into their third decade, they need major deviations from Canon. Bobmin's Sunset/sunrise pair would do well if they were published today. Nobody needs yet another third year tale with a microscopic twist that takes eleven chapters to become apparent. Honestly I think it's time for recognizable OCs (IE Dan Granger's brother, Emma's Dad, Mr/Mrs Creevey to be featured in sizeable roles in stories - for the storyline to move an arm's length away from her world. Everything is still recognizable but Dumbledore and Ron don't need to be featured. Letters and Lunches is my first story. It starts out rather dark, but cheers up a third of the way through. Precedes Horcruxes, Hallows, and a wimped-out Harry, it illustrates what could have happened if book five had been taken to it's logical conclusion. A Summer of Choices is a sixth year fic unrelated to Letters and Lunches. It seemingly starts out as a Harry-Ginny fic, but there are also many other witches who are very interested in Harry. The Four Apprentices is a continuation of A Summer of Choices. Harry has a very complex life. Harry finds out what his unknown power is. He and his friends attempt to cope under the weight of an incredible amount of stress getting ready to face Voldemort. Some crack, while others prevail. No Thanks covers several weeks in the summer of 1996. It's an intrusive Dumbledore vs Harry test of wills story. It has some funny scenes and is a fun story to read. Tom and Harry is a darker post-HBP story. It changes point of view back and forth from the light side to the dark side on a regular basis. Several chapters were co-written with help from the amazing Mrs_Vanblundht. ChemProf edited T&H as well as No Thanks. They are better stories as a result. Thank You, Ms. Bones is a different story that places Harry in the care of Susan and Amelia Bones. Evan edited most of the story for me. It gives a good look at the workings of the DMLE. Susan Bones is a very refreshing character to write. The Dentists' Daughter is a shorter story that I had wanted to finish for three years. It examines Hermione's introduction to the wizarding world from her parents' point of view. It serves as a logical prequel to most H/HR stories. An Inconvenient Truth is a third/fourth year tale featuring Susan, Hermione, Amelia and many of the OCs that I've made friends with over the years. ChemProf and the Mr. Bill Gray have added their wisdom and flavor to the tale. There is one possible scene left to write. Maybe someday, we'll see. Dan Granger is a great tale. I'm trying to weave seven storylines together into a readable story. It gives me the opportunity to introduce a new OC into the mix, as well as exercise some of my other characters. Atonement is my first attempt at a post-Riddle tale. I did a fair amount of research for this tale and am pleased with the result. Remember, we are all reading or writing these for fun. If these stories aren't for you, there are thousands of others to select from. Please take the time to write an actual review of the stories that you read. If you have a valid e-mail I will likely write back or look at the stories that you have posted. Thanks. O-C "I promise to review (kindly) every fanfic I read whether it be fantastic, useless, or anywhere in between. I make this pledge because I know how frustrating it is for an author to have hundreds (or thousands) of hits and only a handful of reviews." Copy and paste this onto your profile if you promise to do the same. Seriously - you're reading something that a volunteer spent their time on. How hard would you rip into a volunteer soccer or little league coach? |
