Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.
I've found that since the release of book 7 and my recent reading of fanfiction here and elsewhere and I have become more and more unhappy with the way the series ended. I think the book was too fast, had too many holes and the way the characters were killed off ruined it for me. I understand that some book require characters to die, it's a significant plot point and can change the pace and direction of a story quite well. The problem I had was that important characters were killed off, almost in passing, as if Rowling was trying to fill a quota at the end of the book to make up for the fact there hadn't been many deaths in previous books! A perfect example of this is Remus and Tonks, just annoying.
Also, I've found that there are stories here, and on other sites, that are better written and more exciting than the last couple of books!
I can't say that I am a standard parings kind of guy any more, in fact most of the better stories i've read lately have been H/HR. I dont think they work in the official books, not that they work with anyone else either (even the two Weasleys) since the relationships aren't really written well that way.
I do intend to continue my latest story but work, life and me reading other stories has taken up my time and sorta confused my story plot so I needed to step back and take another look at where I wanted to go with it.
