Author has written 17 stories for Pokémon, Naruto, Harry Potter, Warcraft, One Piece, Elder Scroll series, Campione!/カンピオーネ!, God of War, Game of Thrones, A song of Ice and Fire, and House of the Dragon. Introduction How's it going folks? Names Umodin (pronounced You-Mod-In), though you can call me Rick if you're so inclined. I'm not all too bothered. You might ask me, why am I not updating my stories? And the answer, my dear friends, is simple, in that it's not. I don't write fanfiction on a schedule. I write it when I'm bored, when I'm inspired, and more importantly, when I feel like it. If I want to update a story, I will. If I want to ignore it for years on end, I, also, will. If I want to create a brand new story with intricate prose and unique characters and then not touch it after the first few chapters, I damn well will. I'm sure many of you will not like that. It goes against what you've come to expect on this website. And that's fair. But, and I say this as clearly as I can... not my problem. I'll add stories and chapters as I please, and if you enjoy them, great! If you don't, also great! But please, and I beg you, please acknowledge that this is a voluntary thing that is done for the sake of fun, not for a profit. For further information on my decision, I have a link that will be able to better explain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKQqoqaS3E4&ab_channel=Thwamp And now, I have challenges to offer the daring! For those that have any interest, PM me and we can hash out some thoughts. A Song of Ice and Fire/The Hobbit: The Doom of Valyria was not just an event, it was a title. Upon being shot by the Black Arrow, Smaug's rage knew no bounds, and through an act of ancient and unknown magic, was flung into Planetos, where he then took up residence in the one place worthy of his splendor. (Smaug -is- the Doom of Valyria, and has been holed up in Valyria for three hundred years, content in not moving... until a black fledgling dragon known the world over as Drogon caught his eye, him and his mother) (Doesn't have to be a Crossover) Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire: "Promise me Ned... Promise me." Lyanna had whispered before succumbing to her tiredness, her eyes closing for the last time. Grief and rage struck Eddard Stark, and he knew not what to do with this silver haired, purple eyed boy he'd been handed. (Or, in which Jon Snow was actually born with Rhaegar Targaryen's coloring) (Doesn't have to be a Crossover) Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire: Stannis worried for Renly for months, the Tyrell siege against Storms End having been hard on the boy. Fever took him after they were forced to feed on dogs, and it was only luck that the boy lived through the ordeal, according to the maester. It was strange though, that Renly had changed so much. And why was he calling him "the Mannis?" (An SI placed into the body of Renly Baratheon in the aftermath of Roberts Rebellion) (Doesn't have to be a Crossover) Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire: When Ned Stark rode through the Crownlands intent on King's Landing, it was to dethrone the Mad King and find his sister. But where a city should have been was naught but ash, the capitol burned to the ground, and the presumption that his sister was still missing. (AU In which Aerys Targaryen was never stopped by Jaime and his wildfire plot was enacted, killing 500,000 innocents.) (Doesn't have to be a Crossover) Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire: There were only four people that Rhaella could be vulnerable with in life, queen or no. Her sons, Rhaegar and Viserys, were among them, as was her sweet Ser Bonnifer, who had left her service at her request so she would not be tempted from her brother-husbands bed. The last of these people was her younger brother, Corlys Targaryen, named after the Sea Snake whose stories always held her mothers fancy. (SI as the younger brother of Aerys and Rhaella Targaryen.) (Doesn't have to be a Crossover) Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire: Baelor I Targaryen was a calm boy, prone to solitude and study. In theory, he would have been a perfect representation of the faith in the royal family. But one event over the course of his childhood changed his aptitude, from being the seven-pointed-star's greatest proponent, to its greatest adversary. Baelor the Blessed he could have been, but Baelor the Faith-Breaker, he became. (AU in which Baelor was raped by a septon as a child, and with his piousness broken, his obsession became the abolishment of the faith of the Seven.) Game of Thrones/Harry Potter: Robert Baratheon felt that his friendship with Ned Stark was of a brotherly sort, giving him another younger brother to dote upon, and that his relationship with his uncle, Aerion Baratheon, the Lord of Duskendale, often called Harry for short, was what it must have been like to have an older brother. (In which Harry was reborn as Steffon Baratheon's younger brother, black of hair and purple of eye) A Song of Ice and Fire: “No man is more accursed as the kinslayer. To be a kinslayer is to be kinless.” When Daeron the Daring, thirdborn son of King Viserys I Targaryen, saw the act on both sides, he chose to take those words more literally than was to be expected. And so the Daring became the Deserter, and a song is changed. (tDoD AU) A Song of Ice and Fire: Rhaenys Targaryen was often bitter in life. The 'Queen Who Never Was' often felt she was dealt a poor hand. Her throne was denied of her, her husband was bitter of her, and her eldest children were disappointments in their choices to bed men and bed the wrong men both. There were only two things that brought her joy: Melys, her fierce dragon, appropriately titled the Red Queen, and Vaelon, her youngest son, the only child to bear her Baratheon black locks. He was everything one could ask in a son, dutiful and kind and not a sword swallower. And he would have everything in turn. (An SI born as the second son of Corlys/Rhaenys Velaryon, altering tDoD) A Song of Ice and Fire: In the aftermath of the Dance of Dragons, the Targaryens were left with only two dragons to their name and one dragon missing, along with a smattering of egg clutches. While it was obvious that the Cannibal should not be approached, and nobody knew where the Sheepstealer had flown off to, the Grey Ghost was still up for grabs. And Daeron I Targaryen knew this. (In which the Young Dragon became the Young Dragonrider, and the Dornish War changed as a result) Naruto: Prodigy's were rare commodities in the world, and doubly so in the Bloody Mist. Mei Terumi hadn't expected one to fall into her lap; quite literally! At least Haku was cute. (An SI placed into the body of Haku. I haven't seen one of these, and I genuinely believe it could be a fun concept. As a hint, that thing Haku could do with the mirrors? Imagine it used in a manner similar to what Minato Namikaze's did to Iwa) Naruto: The Akamichi clan were a proud, reclusive lot, more content with their creations in the kitchen than their prowess in combat. Choza thought the same would be the case for his son and heir. He was wrong. (Either an OOC Choji or an SI-OC as Choji) World of Warcraft: This world was one of ferocious conquest, with nature as both his refuge and his greatest enemy. Luckily, he was reborn among the apex predators, even if that monster of a drake known as Galakrond greedily stole most of the food. At least his scales matched the snow that often surrounded the land. He did miss conversation though. (An SI reborn as an albino proto-drake during the time before the Aspects) World of Warcraft: (An SI deposited into the body of their character [preferably Night Elf] during the End Time dungeon. Murozond notices a shift, and takes advantage by hurtling said SI far, far into the past. During the time that the Kal'dorei empire first began) World of Warcraft: Kael'thas had always been alone. Court politics separated him from his father, and his heart was lost too often. This new sibling would hopefully allow him some companionship. (An SI reborn as Kael'thas Sunstrider's younger sibling) Fairy Tail: Brain knew Erik to be a quiet one. His time in the Tower of Heaven did much to keep his baser thoughts silent. He just needed time. Brain just didn't think that he'd turn into such a chatterbox after that Dragon Slayer Lacrima had been implanted. (An SI placed into the body of Cobra after his Dragon Slayer Lacrima was implanted) My Hero Academia: Enji Todoroki knew that his legacy was secure upon the awakening of Shoto's quirk. All Might would be felled from his position as Number 1, and his blood would reign over the masses. And Shoto showed such promise, such diligence! That is until his mother scarred his face. Now his legacy was rebelling against his path; cursing everywhere like a plebeian, dying his hair also like a plebian, using his quirk for mundane tasks like heating and cooling bathwater LIKE A PLEBIAN! No, he did not know how to handle such a person. But he would. (An SI placed into the body of Shoto Todoroki after his face was burned) My Hero Academia: Denki Kaminari. Quirk: Electrification - Denki's Quirk allows him to generate electricity and cover his body in it. While he can also emit this energy over a distance, Denki has little to no control over it. Exceeding his wattage limit causes his brain to short-circuit, leaving him in a vulnerable state for 1 hour. Denki is also able to absorb and neutralize electricity and other lightning-based Quirks. When such a power is placed in the hands a genre-savvy nerd, things are bound to be interesting. Pokémon: Ash had thought he had succeeded in conquering the Battle Frontier after his third battle with Brandon, but Scott quickly disabused him of that notion. There was one more Frontier Brain he had to beat, their newest member, whose facilities had only been recently finished. Ash would have to battle harder than he'd ever done in order to beat the Battle Theater, but with his friends in tow, he was sure he could do it! Though, he could do without all that noise. (An OC that became a Frontier Brain, taking Ash on as his first challenger) And finally, for my most ambitious challenge!: Harry Potter/One Piece - Title; Harry Potter and the Fruits of the Devil: This is going to be the most difficult challenge, in that it spans the whole of the 7 books of Harry Potter. As it's such a high-end challenge, a basic summary won't cut it. So, here's what you need to know! - Devil Fruits are real, and they shape a huge part of the magical world. This is because anybody that consumes a Devil Fruit, even muggles, are guaranteed to have magic in their line at some point. As a result, magical governments not only try to separate themselves from muggles, but also try to control the Devil Fruits in the world, including how they are spawned and who is worthy of consuming one. - Purebloods look down on muggleborn for not knowing who their ancestor is that ate a Devil Fruit. They have line charts linking back to their immediate ancestors, and a large reason that purebloods hold power is because they hoard Devil Fruits for their own families. The stronger a pureblood house, the more Devil Fruits, Devil Fruit users and Devil Fruit fed items they have on hand. - All faculty members of Hogwarts are required to have consumed a Devil Fruit. - Only Zoan and Paramecia fruits exist. Logia fruits are considered to be urban legends, passed down from ancient times, but in the modern day magical world are believed to be just that, legends. |
