So, I've just started posting stories even though I've been reading/writing fanfiction for several years now. I'm a college freshman from the Midwestern US, and I'm currently planning to major in European History with a minor in Economics.

Some of my favorite fandoms include: Doctor Who, Buffy, Yugioh, Pokemon, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Avatar the Last Airbender, X Men, Phantom of the Opera, Danny Phantom, Dragon Ball Z, and Star Wars.

I'll try to post at least a fic or two in most of these, but that's really optimistic. I will do my best to get stuff up in at least one or two, though.

I will also write crossovers. Lots of crossovers. And AUs. Much as I love cannon, I find that playing with different plots and worlds is a lot easier for me. I'll also rarely write stories that focus solely on the main character in a series/show/movie, and/or that have completely cannon pairings. There's no particular reason for this; I simply find that I like looking at things from a different perspective than is seen in the original work.

I also love gen fic. My favorite stories are centered around a strong plot or good characterizations and not romantic relationships. Oh, I love romance and I won't shy away from posting it, but I find that ninety-percent of the time, fanfiction is better when the focus is on something other than two people whose main worry is finding a way to make the other a) love them, or b) want to screw them

Favorite Friendships/Familial Relationships in Fanfic (See? I didn't start off with the pairings to keep the last statement from sounding too hypocritical):

Buffy:

Spike and Angel (because they have funny dialogue, and if they were friends they'd talk more and have more brilliant, Angel Season 5-esque exchanges), Spike and Dawn, Xander and Willow

Doctor Who:

Ten and Donna, Eleven and Craig, Nine and Jack, Martha and Donna (and maybe even Rose)

Harry Potter:

Harry and Draco (so long as Draco isn't OOC), Harry and Luna, Snape and Harry (Yes, I'm a sucker for softer Snape), Tom Riddle Jr. and Harry

Yugioh: Seto and Joey (a fanfic author once said they hate one another because they see the worst of themselves in the other), Seto and Mokuba, Joey and Serenity

Hunger Games: Johanna and Katniss, Katniss and Finnick, Prim and Peeta (entirely because of My First Date with Katniss Everdeen), and Marvel and Rue (Read Genius and Insanity and say it doesn't work.

Avatar: Sokka and Zuko, Toph and Aang, Iroh and Zuko

Danny Phantom: Lance and Danny, Vlad and Danny, Phantom and Jack and/or Maddie

Buffy:

Spike/ Willow (90% of it involves more relationship development than Spuffy, plus they are cute together), Xander and almost anyone (Because I love Xander), and Spike/Dru (Not that anyone ever writes it)

Doctor Who:

Twelve/Clara (It's newly become my thing, which is funny because I never shipped her with Eleven), Eleven/Rose (Wouldn't they be adorable?) and Donna/Jack (Because I can)

Hunger Games:

Finnick/Katniss (Their interactions in the book were perfect. I like HG cannon pairings, but they leaned on each other in Mockingjay in a way neither were shown doing with Annie or Peeta and it made me fall in love with the ship), Johanna/Gale, Katniss/Cato (or Marvel)

X Men:

Rogue/John, Azazel/Mystique, Kitty/Piotr, Nightcrawler/Storm

Phantom of the Opera:

Erik/OW (Because I adore Erik but think his obsession with Christine was creepy and founded too much on her voice), Erik/Meg
