I'm ThereBeDragons17. I love softball, puzzles, and Latin. I love traveling, and have been to a fair number of states and a couple countries in Europe and the Caribbean. Italy was by far my favorite, but the U.K. was amazing too.
I believe in the short and sweet. My fics are not abnormally stubby, just rich and full of flavor. Nothing here is explicit or extreme. Also, everything should be canon (with the exception of X-Men because of all the alternate universes/decades of comics), or at least not explicitly going against something previously stated, but I certainly don't know everything about all these fandoms.
I greatly admire people who write multi-chapter fics and post on a regular basis. I am not one of them.
On the topic of time, school has decided to sap up most of my life... Funny how it does that. As much as I love writing fanfics, my first priority is homework, and then artwork and writing battle it out for second place.
UPDATE: DUE TO A RIDICULOUS SCHEDULE AND DESIRE TO PURSUE SERIOUS WRITING, I WILL BE TEMPORARILY ON HIATUS
Favorite movie? Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, because it's just awesome and has everything from great fight scenes to a well-thought-out plot and strong characters.
Favorite TV show? One called M*A*S*H from the 1970s/80s, but also The Amazing Race. Um, don't get confused, I'm not so old that I saw any M*A*S*H episodes air--my parents showed them to me because they're awesomely funny. I like Doctor Who as well, but think that it's gone downhill a bit...
Favorite book? Don't do this to me! All of them? I can't say that? Oh... Susanna Kearsley's The Shadowy Horses, and then Harry Potter, The Inheritance Cycle, Percy Jackson... *fades into the background while naming thousands of titles*
Favorite book character? Reyna from Percy Jackson. I admire her for how much crap got dumped on her shoulder and how she was able to stay together while she ran a legion single handedly, concealed her special power, kept Octavian from taking over, looked for Jason and moved on when he ditched her (I get that it was Hera's fault, but he didn't apologize!), and was able to show Nico some sympathy. She's maybe the only character I don't ship with anyone because she's so phenomenal solo.
Favorite movie character? I like Captain Kirk, because I think that he has a lot of layers to his character that maybe we don't see (but maybe I've invented that from all of the fanfics and TOS history I've read). He acts like a big shot and a bit of a jerk but underneath he's loyal, smart, and maybe a little insecure--others just don't see it. It makes him seem human.
Favorite author? J.K. Rowling, because writing a world that in-depth? Insane.
Favorite musician? Lindsey Stirling!
Role modes? J.K. Rowling and Malala Yousafzai. You should definitely know who both of those women are, and if you don't, you should look them up.
If you could go to one place, where would it be? New Zealand. Unquestionably. New Zealanders, you have a seriously gorgeous country, and I absolutely want to backpack across one of the islands, and maybe sail a bit.
Some people ask me why my fics are all silly little things (with the exception of Regina Aeterna). It's because there's so much dark and depressing stuff on here, so I want to put out cute little things that someone would read for fun and come away feeling a little bit happier. Hopefully I succeed!
But anyway, enjoy my fics!
