Though I have been here for a few years now, and written a few stories, it seems I have become more of a perfectionist and thus, not too happy with how my stories turned out due to either circumstance or feeling I could drastically approve on it. So I have come up with a few rules should I decide to continue to pursue fan fiction writing:
1) No more "remakes" of older, preexisting material. I feel the original movies, TV specials or video games were fine the way they were and remaking them, without putting an alternate spin on it, is a bit unoriginal unless the original is written in a novelization form. Not saying I have anything against those who do stories like this, and I will gladly read it if it's done well, but I feel it limits ones imagination. Unfortunately, that means the removal of two of my stories: A Cartoon Family Christmas (based on A Muppet Family Christmas) and my most acclaimed Kingdom Hearts re-envision (Kingdom Hearts: Cartoon Adventures). Sorry to those who wanted the latter finished, but I'd rather just play the games instead.
2) Taking a page from my friend KingdomKey23, I'll make sure to outline my stories first, ie; I'll come up with a beginning, middle and end to it all if it's told in story arc form. I feel it's a much better approach and will get stories done instead of leading to a "dead fic".
3)Should anyone have a request for collaboration at all, I will consider it if the franchises involved are ones I am interested in, but be forewarned that I don't always work well in groups, so let's make it work together.
Thanks to all, and God bless.
