Attention attention! I have a new account where I've written and relocated some of my angst works.
So, if you're a fan of that stuff, give this account a try!
Also I'm writing and drawing a webcomic right now called Abnormal Geometry! Don't worry, it's not as nerdy as it sounds.
I have, like, tons of other accounts too. If you google search "mckee11223" (which is my username for everything), you get tons of results. But, just to save you any potential trouble, I also have a deviantart account.
Sigh. Here be a warning for all those writers out there. Have you ever gotten a flame? That means someone goes up to your story just to say, you suck. It's an awful feeling. I just got my first. The problem with these is, you often don't have a name to go with these reviews. They're always posted by guests, so you can't even say your opinion before they trash you. My first thought, though, was, "Why me?" Why was I the one they chose to pick on, and not the other guy a few hours before that did the EXACT SAME THING? It sort of grates on your confidence, that you feel like there's someone out there to get just you.
So hear me out. Don't flame, please. It makes people feel bad, and it's driven away writers. Believe me. I know. And if you do have an objection, attach a name to your comment, so people can justify themselves. And if you flame, sugarcoat it. Add something nice, so people don't go and sob into their pillow, and walk away feeling like you took the time to correct their mistake and make their writing better, not to be shot down needlessly.
That being said, THANKS to the Guest that said my story wasn't canon. You know what? That was the ultimate blow, because I value my stories being canon. Plus, it was a JOKE. Thanks, for flaming when the guy before me was writing about a GENDERSWAP AND CHILD PEDOFILE SHIPPINGS. Thank you for shooting down my story the guy's nickname. I know I'm being petty, but SERIOUSLY. AT LEAST LEAVE ME A NAME TO COMPLAIN TO.
Not afraid of the height, but of the fall,
Not afraid of the fire, but of the heat,
Not afraid of the bullet, but of the pain, Not afraid of the dark, but of the monsters within.
I should be:
Not concerned about the bark, but of the bite,
Not concerned about the truth, but of the lies,
Not concerned about the deeds, but of the sins,
Not concerned about the words, but of the sticks and stones.
Being a drone, always conforming,
Living your life, not even knowing,
Seeing the sights, but not really looking,
Hearing the sounds, but not really listening,
Just going through the motions, living in one way,
Hoping to survive, get through another day.
Be strong instead of weak,
Be brave instead of a coward,
Be kind instead of mean,
Be gentle instead of rough,
Think through your actions,
Live louder than words,
And leave your footprints on this Earth.
And now that you've read that little nugget of wisdom, here's the fun part.
