Author has written 4 stories for Fate/stay night, Fire Emblem, Sword Art Online/ソードアート・オンライン, and Toaru Majutsu no Index/とある魔術の禁書目録.
I'm The4Ryan9, on some other sites I might be just 4Ryan9 and most people just call me Ryan. I'm American and currently in college so that may get in the way of my stories every once in a while. I'm currently operating on a weekly update schedule where I post every Saturday morning American east coast time, what story I plan to update will be in the AN for the last fic I updated.
I primarily write, and read, FSN fics though I do have ideas for non-nasuverse stories if and when I write them is up in the air. Other than Fate, which is really what got me into this site enough to even consider writing, I also have an interest in and plans for other things, like SAO, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, and DC. DC is the odd one out since the only major reason I have an interest in writing with it is a few interesting crossover ideas that won't leave me completely alone.
Current Status of my stories:
Awakening to Battle: Actively working on.
This is going to be a long story and we're still getting started to be honest. I'd love to say I'll be able to finish it without any major breaks but that'd be down right lying. I'm going to need a break, or at least a period of slowed updates, to solidify and expand on my plans for the story. Expect updates for this to come very slowly after the war with Plegia, during what will essentially be a series of intermission chapters taking place during the time skip that happens in FE 13. That's when I'll take my chance to make more solid plans and get everything set up for the rest of the story.
From the Game to the Grail: Actively working on.
This will be a relatively short story. I'm expecting somewhere around 20 chapters and probably less than 200k words, which might not sound very 'short' but compared to other completed fics really is. Plans for the story are pretty well laid with the overarching plot and series of events planned so I shouldn't need a hiatus before this is finished.
I want to start another story soon, for a few reasons. The first is that I think having three active fics is a good number, it gives me enough options about what to work on week to week, and also means that each of my stories should be seeing an update at least once a month. The second is that by having another story to update I slow down updates on the other two, giving me time to better plan the stories, especially AtB. Last is that I simply I have a lot of ideas to work with so picking one is just a matter of figuring out what I'm most interested and prepared to write right now. Planning to post this story sometime in the next month, so you should be seeing it by the end of August.
Servants of Aincrad: Abandoned
Give up hope now, I hate this story and have no plans to finish it. Now, that's not to say I don't like the idea behind it, or some of the things that I did in it. I personally still like the idea and think that it's a great idea if you can get over how much of a stretch it is that some of these people are actually Heroic Spirits. Some of the Servant designs in the story are actually some of my favorite I ever made, Klein is one of my favorite ever since the idea of his guild being his Noble Phantasm fits him perfectly and the Divine Stone of Returning Soul gives him a 'trump card', not in the form of any amazing attack strength but simply an item that approaches true magic. But the story's writing is absolute shit, some of the chapters have ANs almost as long as the actual chapter, I make several blatant errors in lore and the very foundation of the story is a major stretch already. I have no plans to finish the story, and while I may rewrite it one day that day is far away at best.
The Fate of a Certain Sword: One-Shot, Complete.
The story was posted as nothing more than a bonus/apology for not being able to update anything one week. It was written long before it was posted and was simply an idea that wouldn't leave me alone until I did something with it. It could be a longer fully fleshed out story but I don't know enough about To Aru lore to write it without major errors (honestly there's probably a bunch in what I DID write). I did offer to let someone adopt the idea themselves and even link to their fic in my own, no one has yet done that.
