A collection of one-shots written for the prompts for 12 Days of Bethyl. Each prompt is chronological and set BETWEEN "Still" and "Alone" (assuming several weeks between those episodes). They can also be considered to fit in with my fic, "She's Breathing".

"They're wrapped up in each other's hands and hearts and so there's nothing strange about being always close in this little apartment. " - A series of ficlets set in a universe where Beth and Daryl live in a tiny apartment together. Modern AU, no-zombies.

Daryl has always followed the road set out in front of him. But when Merle gets put in jail and there's no one to lead the way anymore, he finds himself adrift. He's got a job, and a place to live, but it's in a grocery store of all places, as he stands baffled by row after row of endless choices, that he meets someone who might just help him truly find his way.

Daryl ran after the car that took Beth for over a day, but he didn't stop. He didn't give in. He caught up, and he saved her, and he made them pay.

It's been ten years since Daryl held Beth's lifeless body in his arms. The world has changed but humanity has survived, and Daryl has survived too. He is alive; still breathing, still walking, still pushing himself to keep going year after year... until one day, it all changes when he sees a name on a list of survivors. Two words. Two syllables. Ten letters. Beth Greene.

There is an old woman who lives in a town called Alexandria, which sits by the banks of a river. She is a wise woman, known to all as the Keeper of Songs, and if you knock on her door and step into her home she can tell you her stories. Tales of the Hunter and the Healer, the Stealthy One and the Singer of Songs, the pair known as the Saving Angels. Will you listen to her?

When Daryl finally dies, Beth Greene shows him that heaven is more than just a place he never thought he'd end up.

The plan had been to only stay for as long as it took Merle to get his job done. Only Merle had gotten caught dealing and sent to prison, leaving Daryl alone in a small, gossip-filled town. It wasn't so bad. He had a place to stay and a job as the fry cook at a local diner. Then Beth Greene showed up to be the diner's newest waitress, and his 'easy' job became far more distracting.

When Merle's drunken night lands him on a bench outside an apartment building, the girl who comes out to sit with him becomes his Angel, changing not only his brother Daryl's life when those two fall in love, but Merle's life as well.

A fix-it fic for S05.E10 "Them", featuring the scene with Daryl smoking outside by the barn. Only while he's there, the last person he ever thought to see again finds him.

What if Daryl Dixon and Beth Greene were only a couple years apart and lived in the same town? How different would his life have been if one day, a sweet little blonde girl shared her sandwich with a lonely, hungry boy?

Daryl's cell was right underneath hers, and he could hear everything. Including Beth Greene masturbating. After three nights of listening to her give up in frustration, could anyone blame him for wanting to give her a helping hand?

Beth gets shot by Dawn at Grady Memorial but doesn't die, and she and Daryl get to have the story they deserved. (Fix-it fic for Coda, canon up until the ending.)

Beth (an up and coming singer-song writer) has been flirting with Daryl (a music blogger) ever since they first met a few weeks ago. When Daryl gets naughty and teases her a little one night, Beth gets her revenge by writing and performing a frisky little song.

When struggling artist Daryl, searching for a new muse to spark his inspiration, put up a sign on the local campus asking for figure models, the last person he'd expected to walk through the door for a meeting was someone as sweet and innocent looking as Beth Greene. But then he got a look at the fire in her eyes, and something inside of him felt ready to ignite.

"People talk about the guy that's waiting on a girl. There are no holes in his shoes but a big hole in his world. Going back to the corner where I first saw you. Gonna camp in my sleeping bag, I'm not gonna move."

He wants to believe that she has gone to a better place. He wants to believe, but he can't. Because instead of being up there, she is with him down on earth, haunting his every step, refusing to let him give in to the darkness even though he desperately wants to. (Alternatively: Five times Daryl "saw" Beth after her "death", and the one time he finally, really did.)
