Author has written 11 stories for X-Men: Evolution, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, and Star Wars.
Having recently returned from an extended hiatus - and seeing that the last time I touched this bio I was fifteen and less articulate than I am willing to admit - I thought I'd give a little update. I apologize for my unexpected leave of absence, but plan to remain active now for quite some time - and have a few fics up within the coming weeks. I also plan to - in the distant future, mind - revamp a few stories in which - plotwise - my former self dug such a large, confining hole, that I cannot now claw my way out of without significant damage to the stories' integrity - namely NOC. So, when I get the drive, that will disappear and then pop up again, not so much new, but improved. Now onto the actual 'bio' part of this...I've been writing different pieces of work for the entirety of my life - some decent, others rather embarrassingly not - but only within the last three years decided to try my luck online. Mostly, my fannish pursuit focus on Ewan McGregor and, more specifically, his rendition of Obi-Wan Kenboi. I adore the man and it shows throughout my work - or will show as I begin to write more. I'm still in school and haven't yet glimpsed the light at the end of the tunnel, alas, so my writing time is limited. Not as limited as my inactivity would suggest however, so we'll see what gets churned out with my newfound motivation. And finally, as many may have gathered, I am the reigning queen of procrastination, even with things I enjoy doing. If I'm not moving fast enough, harass me. I can't guarantee it will do much, but it might spur me along. Anything's possible. REQUEST If there is anyone who would be interested in beta-ing for me, I would appreciate it. I have a few things in the works (one sketchily outlined with abt. 8 Word pages written another mapped out in my head, but only a page past the conceptual stage) and really would like to have a sounding board to bounce chapters off of. Grammar competence is a must, naturally, as is an eye for detail and reliability (I've had betas in the past who have disappeared in the middle of a project - at times it takes me a bit of time to get motivated and it's rather frustrating to wait three months - or longer, sigh - for feedback). I'd actually like to have a few heads in on this, so despite when you see this - if you're interested - don't hesitate to email me.
Hmm. That went well, don't you think? What with all the new fics I wrote, and the stories I redid and the chapters I added. What's that? You never saw any new fics, redone stories or new chapters? Curious.
Sigh. I haven't moved on, per se, but another fandom has stolen my attention at the moment. I am very sorry for the delay in this. I really do intend to pick up a few of these again - I'm just not sure when, exactly, the muses for SW will return. Until then, anyone who stumbles upon this message, feel free to take a peek at my HP fiction, if you like. Different penname: ayslin
