I am 50-something, live in NW Arkansas, having originally come from southern CA, and have been both a Original Series Star Trek and Dark Shadows fan from day one. However, only recently (three years ago) did I begin writing DS stories, one of them a crossover between my two favorite shows. I am also doing fanfic for MASH, the only other show I know enough about to consider doing fanfic for.

I live with two friends, one of whom is also a writer (she writes mostly Trek, but has also done Star Wars and the TV Beauty and the Beast). She is my main beta reader and I hers. She is also a fan artist and works on commission, having done both cover and interior art for various stories and zines of mine.

I also like Star Wars, both original and new trilogies, and have several ideas for stories in the latter genre.

To update, I have also gotten very much into the Harry Potter fandom, also having been a fan of it from day one, although I just recently started doing fic for it about fifteen months ago, and have written over two dozen stories, at least four of which are novel-length ... and in case anyone was wondering, I am very much into the Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione ships, although I am not averse to certain others, like Harry/Draco or Draco/Hermione...sometimes even Harry/Sirius on occasion. I just have to be in the right mood for them. Am also currently doing a TOS Trek/Harry crossover. Have also done a DS/Trek crossover and a Superman/Trek crossover, and still others are planned, such as a MASH/Trek crossover and perhaps even a DS/MASH crossover. All my finished (and even some unfinished) stories are posted here, so anyone who reads this and likes any of the above genres, feel free to read and review.

And with all due respect to those who ship Harry/Hermione, I would sooner see him with Draco than her ... and that's saying something. Although I have nothing against the character, I just can't see her as a romantic partner for Harry. My impression has always been that they are more like brother and sister, and I'm afraid I just can't shake that impression. I even plan on doing a story where they actually are such (he is adopted into her family after his parents are killed).

I definitely don't go for the Draco/Ginny ship unless it's included with the Harry/Ginny ship, like I intend to do in an upcoming fic. There are certain other pairings in the genre I dislike so much, I won't even mention them by name, especially the ones that involve incest or something very close to it...much less involvements of certain Hogwarts students with teachers. Just can't understand anyone who could ship that sort of thing...nor ships between the male Marauders like Sirius and Remus with certain Hogwarts students, if not each other. They just don't strike me as gay, I'm afraid...and even though the great thing about fanfic is that virtually anything is possible, things like that (among others) are not probable, so I personally won't write them, although I'm not stopping anyone else from doing it. Just don't ask me to read them.
