I lurk. I like Inuyasha and Rurouni Kenshin stories. I have been lurking for about two, close to three years.
I have been blown away by some authors. I hunger for some of the unfinished stories to continue.
Sometime, I review. I'll try to do more of that when I have access.
I'll go back to lurking now.

As prompted by the staff of FF.net, I would like to thank all the writers for their entertainment efforts.
May the new year re-energize your plot bunnies...I didn't just write that, did I?

I've posted my very first story. I was thrilled with the accomplishment! After tweaking it for nearly a year, I've posted. That should suggest how long it may be before I post again. :-/ I hope those that read it find it pleasing. I will work on other ideas, as well as an original story or two. But I don't know when I will post again. Probably after ff.net changes their program, again. : -P

I hope I've done it right. [sweat drops!] If I have, I've posted 'Reluctance', my first Inuyasha story. It is set after the last episode of 'The Final Act'. I'm still working the craft of writing and I have so many wonderful writers as examples.

I'm still here and writing, rarely and poorly. I tossed one out there for The Walking Dead. I got totally sucked in with the hype for season 6 earlier this year. I don't have TV so I've nearly caught up on DVD. So I get my WD spoilers and fixes in fanfics.
This doesn't mean that I don't still have Inu and RK stories rolling around in my head. But with work and school and other life, writing has taken a back seat. I do try to post reviews, however, and even reach out and touch some writer in PMs.
I'll see what develops over the remainder of the year. Take care, All.

Last Friday/Saturday I posted my first chapter fic. I was pleased to have gotten through the challenge, Yes, challenge of making that happen. I didn't want to see Glenn go and I had to put a few words to paper for the event, even if he lived in one of mine and died on AMC. I'm dry now. I don't know if I have any more WD in me. Only time and my quiet Muse can tell.

I’m home convalescing with a cold/flu whatever, so I thought I’d take a stroll down memory lane. I came to FF.net originally because, although my son got me interested in RK & Inu, I can’t read the mangas without getting a headache. I discovered this place by chance and it was the answer to knowing more about the characters or just getting the entertainment fix, without getting a headache.
I drifted away due to RL & school. I’m an older learner. I wanted to keep my mind active. I work full time and I have earned a certificate in my spare time, when I’m not at the dojo, working on learning Tai Chi and ChiQong.
About three years ago, I was bombarded with news of a new season starting for this thing called ‘The Walking Dead’? What? Something about ‘zombies’? Season 5? Really? My curiosity was piqued so I got S1 & S2. Well, I was hooked at S1 Epi 2.
Around season 4 I posted a couple of simple things, I was in high spirits. Then, the S6 ending cliffhanger caused for me a downward spiral; my favorite character from S1, if the show followed the comics, was going to die. So, before that was confirmed, I posted items that I felt would be cathartic for me, getting ahead of the pain, as it were. Nothing was going to help, really.
So, I have come back to what first drew me to FF.net and I’ve spent some time strolling down memory lane. And, of course, I focused on the Battousai stories, because nothing says ‘light and cheery’ like the angst-ridden manslayer stories. So many excellent stories that made you really feel what it was like to be a 14-year old boy who, for his ideals, had promised to kill for the cause. Being 14, he had no idea what he was really committing to.
I spent the day searching for some of the stories I remembered, so many interesting well written stories. Some names have changed, so I have trouble finding their stories, but I remember them. ‘The Choshu Chronicles’, by Older Woman; ‘Descent into Madness’, a very moving story, by Conspiritor; ‘The Reason’, an unfinished work by Becky Tailweaver; ‘The Snow Raven’, by Krista Perry, and so many others. I loved them all, the longer the story the better. But some were rather short and just as moving, ‘Soul of a Hitokiri’ by hakubaikou, a wonderful writer, gone too soon, whose unfinished work, ‘Against a Sea of Troubles’ was, I think, an award winner. Another short story was ‘Changing Sides’, by Moonsilver. I remember those, although not well, and I’d love to read each and every one of them again. I’ve re-read Kyshuutsu , by Terry McElrath, a writer who lost her battle with an illness, whose unfinished story ended on such a high point, it was deemed adequately ended. I know she had more, but she was called away.
So, I’m going to take a break and just wallow in the manslayer for a while. Be well, All. AM

Well, I’m done. I’ve maxed out on my need for RK angst and I’m full up on many of the other genre. Which is rather sad considering there are like nearly 18-thousand stories. So many really good stories or concepts are unfinished. I re-read Twisted by Ravyn, again. And there is always that one story that you vaguely remember, but can’t remember the title or find a synopsis that remotely relates to it. There was one I wanted to find with Battousai; he trained at one point with ninjas and even poisoned one of his targets. In another story, the Rurouni went to Katsura before Katsura died and collected a woman from him whom he brought back to Tokyo which, of course, upset Kaoru. Ring any bells with anyone? I think both were finished stories. And it could just be that I couldn’t find it. I didn’t look at all 17,900 story synopsis. :-/ But it could also be gone. Some people feel the need to delete stories they have written. How can they even think of doing that?! It’s your work! Even if they thought it was bad, even if they thought they could do a better job, what about the people who took the time to review? I don’t know if you can upload a correction to a story without losing the reviews. Anyway, I’m ready to move on. The Walking Dead is calling to me again and there are also those things I need to get out of my own head and onto paper.
