Hello there! My name is Daine and this is my random page of adventure. And now I put in one of our infamous disclaimer. The authoress Daine-Weirynsra is not responsible for any injuries (physical or mental) while on this page. Be warned side effects may include laughing, crying, extreme head nodding, seizures, and an extreme outbrake of randomness. Thank-you.
So now that thats out you are free to browse!
Other Alias'-The Wildmage, Wyrd, Book Girl, Out there... the list goes on.
As you have most likely surmised I am a female of the younger persuasion. I enjoy reading, writing, walking outside (in all seasons), learning obscure facts, and the necessary evil of studying large quantities of knowledge. The one literary related feat I am most proud of (besides my large pool of knowledge and random factoids about Doctor Who) is that I have met Tamora Pierce (twice, both of which I was flying high for about twelve hours afterwards) and NEIL GAIMAN! (Charming, funny, witty, handsome, and uncommonly kind. What more could a girl ask for?)
Favorite books/authors: Any Tamora Pierce (All her books come highly recommended), Garth Nix, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, J.R.R. Tolkein, Neil Gaiman, the Harry Potter Series, Abarat, Skullduggery Pleasant series, the Parasol Protectorate series, and my greatest Old English and Medieval Lit.
Favorite Pairings: Daine and Numair (probably my favorite of all time for books), Doctor and Rose (you may see rant below) , Zane and Danica, Sabriel and Touchstone, Carrion and Candy, Howl and Sophie, and Severus Snape and Hermione (a rather new pairing I have decided that I quite enjoy)
My favorite random characters- Lindhall from Immortals. Christopher Carrion from Abarat. Ace, Romana 1, K-9, and Capt. Jack from Doctor Who
Doctor Who rant-There has been a very special man (or several you could say) that has been crucially involved throughout my life, that man is the Doctor. My first Doctor was the second one (thanks to my Nan Margaret for bringing over the recordings and hooking an unsuspecting six year old) but I have watched a substantial part of the classic Who as well as all of the new. Yes I do get giddy when I hear the infamous theme song (I even have a little dance), I cry when there is a regeneration and then assault the tellie for inflicting said tragedy on me (only to rewind and watch what I missed when I was yelling), will name my first dog K9, and have lusted over various factors throughout the show (whether they be person or clothing), have groaned over costuming (really celery?) and watch the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppets with mirth to know there are those out there crazier (well in a different way then me at least) in the Whoniverse. I do not subscribe to those overly complicated and extremely UNFOUNDED Theories such as the Lungbarrow, we are Who fans we accept things and move on. In short as I do not want to take up valuable time, if the Doctor showed up in the TARDIS and asked me to go, it would only be a question of now or right now (you can guess my anwser, yeah? ;).
"“Nooo,” he (10) said, so far beyond confused that he was expecting pink Daleks to come smashing through the doors shouting “OBFUSCATE!” It was a particularly bizarre nightmare he had from time to time when he’d had pizza for dinner." From 'Kallisiti' By Jessa L'Rynn
“Rose,” he (10) said intently, “there is a creature out there even scarier than the Daleks, even more relentless than the Slitheen and even more heartless than the Cybermen.”
Rose’s eyes widened. “God, what is it?”
“Auntie Mabel.”" From 'A Fair compromise' By Fayth3
He (10) smiled back at her. "I'd stand and play proper host, but everything looks funny right now, and I really wouldn't advise you to back up."
"There's a pink elephant right behind you, and it appears to be trying to sing Wagner. You can never tell them that Wagner's not for beginners or elephants, they just take one look at the latest Brunhilda and have to give it a go." From 'They Wouldn't Dare' By Jessa L'Rynn
"When the muse strikes, you do not strike your muse!" Me explaining to my bro why I was writing for six hours straight.
"We are here to celebrate Christmas, not for you two to fight over WHO is named WHAT! Now the next time the two of you want to fight I suggest that you sit back and just think of JESUS!!"- (Snicker) Got to love rants
"Your coterie has chosen to ignore that which does not add to your overweening selfishness in regard to which species have importance, and which ones do not... Or are you merely stupid? I never could decide which one it was, though perhaps I should have" Isn't a mouthful but I love it. It's from The Realms of the Gods by Tamora Pierce.
"Never kick a tree no matter how badly it insults you" me and my friend fellow user Amaruk.
"Silly Yoko, pancakes are for smart people!" Amaruk and myself.

Fics' in Progress/Upcoming
Immortals Series One shots that might evolve to a whole story
Just what the name suggests...
A Series of One-shots of Doctor Who based off the Four Seasons
What the name suggest. Will feature both 9/10 and Rose (other characters to show as they are want to do). Though this will not be a song fic, I will not be adding any lyrics to the fic
itself. I will post a link to the version of the song that I used.
The Type of Man
A one-shot based on the TV series Doctor Who. The contemplations of one Rose Tyler as she fights to find/save the certain Timelord that has unwittingly stolen her heart, even though he
already has two greedy bloke that he is : Rated as such for fluff.
Does It Need Saying?
A Doctor Who fic based on what happens after the season four finale. Let's face it, it sucked for Doctor, Doctor, after that.
Rated T for the same reason as the above fic. (shakes fist "Fluff Haters!" - -#)
Numair's POV of his first meeting with Daine including his musings. Does have a little fluff around the edges.
Birds of a Scale
Based off the book Hawksong. About the first flight of Zane and Danica (they did have a deal) with fluff thrown in of course!
