Author has written 3 stories for Stargate: SG-1, and Star Wars.
Hi all, I won't tell you a lot about myself, only that I'm a female in my 20s. The rest is top secret.:) Though I suppose I will admit that I'm Australian.
I probably like fanfiction since I go around with my heads in the clouds a bit... and I'm something of an eccentric. I've always enjoyed writing and creating characters.
I am writing two WIP at the moment, one for Stargate SG-1, the other is for Star Wars.
My SG-1 fic, is a series called 'By My Side'. I've been working at it for awhile, so I'm glad that it's finally starting to show in the fact that I've posted so many parts! It's S/J romance, and fairly sappy (and hopefully funny) reading, with some sad moments thrown in. I am trying the keep the story in line with the episodes of the show, though it will eventually diverge somewhat. I am currently updating every two weeks or so, so don't worry if it seems far behind in terms of the show's current episodes.
My other fic is 'The Ways of the Force: Journal of Shmi Skywalker, Jedi Knight'. It's basically an AU of if Anakin Skywalker had been born within the republic and trained from infancy. As you can probably figure from the title, it's from Shmi's perspective, as she's a Jedi Knight. Many key events will be similar, but not exactly, because the differences will cause other differences. I know I haven't posted much, but it's a WIP, and I write it as I go.
I am planning sequels to both of these, but don't hold your breath yet, as there's still much work to be done before I reach that point. I will write a spin-off series for 'By My Side', which we be free of episode constraints; and I'll write a trilogy of sequels for 'The Ways of the Force', which will be OT with a twist.
I have been watching Stargate from just about the beginning, since about half-way through season 1, so that's a while now! It's one of the few TV series I watch, and the only one I would describe as my favourite. I was introduced to it by my family, who were watching on the advice of a friend. It was love at first sight! And despite a few 'hiccups' (i.e. Laira, Orlin, and especially Pete), it has remained as my favourite series. I love the blend of sci-fi, adventure, ancient mythology, and humour.
My favourite characters has always been, and will always be the very attractive Dr. Daniel Jackson.:) He's now back where he belongs! Also, I am an S/J shipper, though I don't read as much Stargate FF anymore. I prefer writing it.:) Besides, I have very select tastes, and generally like novel-length fiction.
I was introduced to Star Wars in 1999, after the release of TPM. Prior to that, I barely knew it existed, as it was not something I had grown up with. For some reason my family had never taken an interest in it, so one of my friends decided to remedy that. On watching the OT, I was hooked! It wasn't until some time later that I actually watched TPM, and though it isn't quite up there with the OT, I still enjoyed it. As for what attracted my interest, I would have to say that the blend of sci-fi, adventure, romance, and the fairy-tale quality has done that.
My favourite of all of the movies is ROTJ. I do have a soft spot for the PT, however, and Padme & Anakin's (sigh) doomed romance. Maybe that's why I enjoy Star Wars FF so much:)
Lastly, on an unrelated note, I am available as a beta, if anyone is interested (Stargate SG-1 and Star Wars only).:)
