Welcome to my author's page! *Cue the cackling villainous laughter.*
About me:
Life Motto: Smile. It looks good on you.
Favorite Saying (self-created): Life is about balance. You balance your work, your play, your meetings, your obligations, your dreams, your responsibilities. You balance between fun and functional, doing what you love and loving what you do, time with family and time with friends and time for yourself, meeting expectations and knowing what expectations to meet, being yourself and staying true to yourself--yes, it is all about balance.
About my stories:
Golden Rule about writing: For every increase in power you give the hero, you must also increase (preferably double) the difficulty of what he/she must do. If your hero is a god, he/she must defeat a being/problem just as powerful as they are, if not more so.
Rule on Romance: If I can't make a couple work because of circumstance, alternate love interests, or because of any other obstacles, then either it is because I lack the skill as an author or because the couple was never meant to be in the first place. If an odd couple is going to work, it is not going to be not in spite of all these problems but because of them. I want them to be able to overcome these things because being together matters more than all the shit the world can throw at them.
Recipe: One cup of originality, Two cups of realism, and a teaspoon of vinegar; stir for inspiration and gradually add seemingly impossible challenges; simmer for twenty minutes as character development caramelizes and villan becomes more villainy; bake until perfection.
Old projects:
Please do not read any of my stories that were written before 2010. While they will always hold a special place in my heart as my first fanfics, I'm not going to pretend they are good. I mostly keep those around to show myself how far I have come as a writer.
Pandora's Key:
For me, a lot of Toshiro/Karin stories are very similar (especially in regard to Karin's powers--yay fire--again). So I took all the conventional rules to this couple and threw them out the window. While the story still fits within cannon (at least in the beginning), everything from the story's format, Karin's powers, and the foes that stand in the way are Completely 100% Original.
This story is finished now, but I'm going back and doing some tweaking here and there. Sequel? Maybe, but don't hold your breath.
Fate's Allotter:
This story started out as a self-challenge piece. Can I write a realistic time travel story? It bothered me how a lot of time-travel fics don't explore the reason Sakura may have gotten sent to the past. Some did, but I started longing for a story with a more complicated plot, with twists and mystery and suspense. I wasn't getting any of that from the stories I browsed through so I said, "Self, if you want to read a story like that, you're best bet is to just write one" so here it is.
This story explores why Sakura got flung into the vortex of time, and why she specifically ended up where she did. This is just one explanation on how/why that could have happened.

The Other Tendo Girl: In progress
So the idea for this fic originated from a picture I saw on deviant art (found in the favorites section of the above deviant art account) in which Kasumi was dressed as an agent for shield. It got me thinking, what if Kasumi had been a martial artist all this time and had to hide her skills in order to keep her family safe. At this stage, I'm not sure what the pairing will be (Akane/Ranma vs Kasumi/Ranma), but that's a bridge we'll cross when we get there.
