Over a decade ago, I began my profile with "As a person with common sense, I'm rather wary of sharing things about myself online." Today, as we better understand the internet and privacy concerns, that's even more true. But there are certainly some things to share that don't give away my identity or personal information.

But here's a few things to get a sense of who I am:

- I grew up in a southern US state (hence my username).
- I speak multiple languages.
- I have a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree, and a lot of student debt.
- I love writing; I write original pieces, but I also enjoy writing fanfiction.
- I write for a living, just not fiction. (Or books in general).

I recently wrote my first story in over 12 years. It's the first time I've written more than a few paragraphs in all that time, so I'm very excited to have been able to write and finish something. I've been battling depression on and off for most of this time period, but we recently adjusted my medication, and I'm hoping this means I have lost my writer's block.

Most of my stories are really old, and that's after I deleted the even older ones years ago. My writing has matured and developed a lot since then, and I honestly want to delete most of the older works. However, I still occasionally get reviews from new readers who have gotten pleasure from them, so I'm choosing to keep them up.
