I'm also on AO3 & Tumblr. Search for mysterious-prophetess on Tumblr and Mysterious_Prophetess on AO3. I'd simply link those but in the years since that appeared on the options for profile edition, links just don't seem to work here. I've been writing fan fiction since I was 13, and using this formerly alt-but-now-my-primary-account since I was 14. My interests are varied and vast. I am not taking fic requests. I am not nice. I've never claimed to be nor will I ever claim to be. I can be kind, patient, or even friendly, however my patience has a very finite limit. Once it's gone my temper can flare. I try not to be mean but there are times I can be a bitch. I make no excuses, this is merely an explanation and a way of setting up expectations. Don't expect me to be nice. I don't have to be and after eighteen years in fandom, I'm not going to be all "I'm so glad you paid me attention and you're so right about XYZ" all the time. Especially about nitpicks or an error on an old fic. See below my policy on error fixes. I don't care if you don't like that I'm not nice. I've been in fandom far too long to care anymore. Please do not tell me what you think I should do within a fic I'm writing. Not only is this unsolicited "advice" it's also a bit insulting and is a surefire way to spark my contrarianism into a negative reaction from me. So, you don't get to tell me a twist I planned "ruined" my fic, you don't get to tell me what fics of mine are canon, and you don't get to say "you should do this" and get mad when I say "no" and then be rude about it. If these sound very specific, it's because they are. Just, if I make a major mistake, tell me. Respect, however, that once I finish a multi-chapter fic, I will not be fixing it. Also, if I wrote a fic prior to events in canon changing things, I won't be changing my fic to reflect that either. When I'm done, I'm done (though one shots are more likely to be cleaned up than multi-chapters) and if I have a plot and canon events cause a shift in the canons story, there's a high chance I won't be pivoting my plot to reflect that too much. I can sometimes wiggle canon changes into a fic, but it's more of an exception than a rule. I've also been flamed with the "go kill yourself" review once. It screwed me up. It's since been reported and deleted by FF. Net. So, I'm taking the time to write here that if you ever think to tell anyone that they should be dead instead of writing a fanfic (no matter the quality of the fic), you need to stop, pick you hand up off your keyboard, and slap yourself. I won't promise updates for any of my fics, but I'll try not to abandon them. |
