Tris is broken. She is alive, but she isn't living. One day took everyone from her. She and her guardian, Tori, decide to move to Chicago for a fresh start. Tris pushes away everyone she meets, not wanting any 'friends', but that becomes a little difficult when the boy next door, Four, slowly starts to break her walls down, piece by piece. What will happen? Will Tris let them in?

For a long time, they've been watched, chosen, assigned by June 17, and they've been captured. But now it's time for them to survive. Overall, the main game is called, Survival of the Fittest. 2 teams, many mini-games; Elimination or victory awaits. It's time to play and there's no turning back.

Her mother reluctantly lets her go to a concert in France while they're there for politics. During the escape from the bodyguards at the concert, she runs into Four, who gives her a lift to escape. Four knows her, but she doesn't realize that.

Detective Tris Prior is one of Chicago's finest. Vigilante Four is one Chicago's most troubling characters out there. He acts as a superhero, of sorts. Tris is assigned to catch him and lock him up for the act of vigilantism. Meanwhile, Officer Tobias Eaton and Tris have become good friends. Little did she know these men would drive her mad. "Even when I hate you, I love you."

Tobias Eaton used to be a sap- a nice guy, until the love of his life, Lauren, left him for Eric, the school jerk. He realized that since girls didn't want the nice guy, he would become the jerk. One year later, he is the heart-throb of the school and treats girls like they're nothing. But when Tris doesn't say yes to the jerk, will he have to become the nice guy again or not?

Tris has to move from her home in New York to Chicago. It could be a good thing as maybe she can now forget about the past and move on...or can she.
