Author has written 2 stories for LXG.
“Rubicon 1: Aftermath” is my first LXG fic, but I wrote X-Files fiction for seven years. Especially fic of the “MulderTorture” variety (with plenty of ScullyComfort), so I’m unleashing on Tom in this fandom. And from the reading I have been doing, a lot of other people enjoy doing the same. He’s so angst-able!
Speaking of which, X-Files fandom has “MulderTorture”, Stargate SG-1 has “Daniel Thumping”, Star Trek has “Gratuitous Tom Paris Abuse” – has a term been coined for what we put Tom (and the rest of the League) through?
When I waned on The X-Files, I really wanted a new potential, but thought that I could put my freed-up time to use on my poor neglected novel. So instead I got broadsided by Tom (but how can I blame anyone so sweet?) and so help me a trilogy sprung forth into my head. From Mulder to Sawyer – I must have a thing for American Special Agents.
Though when LXG was first released, somehow it got under my radar. I was aware of it by name, but never got to see a trailer or really know what it was about, so I didn’t go see it at the cinema. Then in April 2004 I was catching up with a friend who had just seen the movie on video. She told me a bit about it and then said, “They even managed to get Tom Sawyer in there as a Secret Service Agent!” That got my attention and made me curious. So when I saw the cover of the DVD I thought, “Is that Tom Sawyer? If so, he’s grown up VERY nicely!”
Eventually in June I finally managed to buy a copy of the two disc DVD and that was that. I loved it, and then a story arc came to me for Tom Sawyer.
