New at this whole fanfiction thing and want to know what the heck is going on? Not new at this thing but would love some general tips? Check it out:

Feb 22, 2014 - New SPN fic! It's called Now And Then, There's A Fool Such As I. It's Dean/Bela -centric with a solid dose of Sam, and a Bobby cameo. ;) I'm done watching season 5 of that show, and looking forward to watching season 6!
Jan 11: All polished and shiny, I've posted my fic exchange gift for Cariadne at the Beta Branch. It's a Dean/Bela oneshot, for Supernatural, called Trust Issues. Not gonna lie, it's a tiny bit of wish fulfillment with those two because UGH why was she only one season, I ship them so hard!
Jan 3: HAPPY NEW YEAR! I posted a new wee fic, for Hunger Games, called Prisoner of War. It focuses on Haymitch/Johannam and was a birthday gift for deathmallow. :D
Nov 28: I would say I'm dipping my toe in the Supernatural fandom, but given the level of my obsession with Dean Winchester's face in a shockingly short amount of time, "dipping" is an extreme understatement. Anyways, I wrote a thing, called Lose Your Soul. And I'm almost done watching season 3...
I am a female between the age of 20 and 29.
I ramble in messages, I love messaging fellow readers/writers/fans. Feel free to drop me a line with comments, questions, hey's and hi's, whatever you fancy. :D I wax and wane between being madly obsessed and cooly enjoying fandoms. I keep scads of notebooks with half-finished things and ideas and notes in them. I can't even begin to explain to you the depth of my love for Lost.
If I read it, I WILL review it, regardless of how much I liked it or didn't like it. I don't necessarily expect the same from every single person, but I definitely would hope for it! I think it's a simple courtesy. The author took the time to write it and share it, I took the time to read it, so it's only fair I give them my thoughts on it, even if it's just one word. I try to leave helpful and specific reviews, but sometimes I just don't have much to say. Lastly, I desperately appreciate concrit. If I have errors, typos, inconsistencies, grammar problems, characterization or logic problems - please point them out. I appreciate it immensely. :)
Also, I read a pretty randomly wide range of fics. Lately I seem to have a fascination with both reading and writing whump and angst. I have no idea why. And I LOVE a good crossover. The more clever and conceivably canon, the better.
My early fics are embarrassingly bad. Eventually I'll go back and edit them, mostly just spelling, grammar and my tendency to grossly overuse dot-dot-dots, so the main "plot" will remain. They're still pretty embarrassingly bad, though. Seriously tho, you've been warned.

Stuff I Wrote That I Actually Really Like
"Please, understand, sometimes I can't choose what I work on. I can't follow through on a line of thinking just because I want to, or, or because it's needed. I have to work on what's in my head. And right now, this is what's in my head." -Charlie Eppes, Numb3rs
"I love writing but I hate starting. The page is awfully white and it says: 'You may have fooled some of the people some of the time but those days are over, giftless. I'm not your agent and I'm not your mommy, I'm a white piece of paper, you wanna dance with me?' And I really, really don't. I don't want any trouble. I'll go peaceable-like." -Aaron Sorkin
"I have tried simply to write the best I can. Sometimes I have good luck and write better than I can." -Ernest Hemingway
"Writing isn't everything, but it's right up there with oxygen." -Unknown
"Many suffer from the incurable disease of writing, and it becomes chronic in their sick minds." - Juvenal
"If you did not write every day, the poisons would accumulate and you would begin to die, or act crazy, or both - you must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you." -Ray Bradbury
"Don't get it right, get it written." -James Thurber
"What no [partner] of a writer can ever understand is that a writer is working when he's staring out of the window." -Robert Andrews
"Good writing is supposed to evoke sensation in the reader. Not the fact that it is raining, but the feeling of being rained upon." -E.L. Doctorow
"The writer is both a sadist and a masochist. We create people we love and then we torture them. The more we love them, and the more we torture them along the lines of their greatest vulnerability and fear, the better the story." -Janet Fitch
"The thing that non-writers do not understand is that even if the idea hurts us, we have to get it out, we must write it. The voices in our head will not shut up until we do." -Anonymous
Ok, finally! You are at the bottom, you scurvy dogs! Arrrr...!
