![]() Author has written 40 stories for NCIS: Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, Stargate: Atlantis, Farscape, MAGNUM P.I., Leverage, and Almost Paradise. I’d never written anything that wasn't forced on me by school or work. Then, I published my first story in May of 2015 after stumbling on this wonderful site. A site filled with stories that I wished would happen on my favorite shows, stories that showed I wasn't alone in that wishful thinking. Prior to that first story, if anyone had asked, I would've said I didn't have a creative bone in my body and absolutely no imagination. I've lived cough, cough, cough years with nothing to contradict that until now. I'm still not necessarily sure I've proven myself wrong, but it's been a fun ride so far and I've made some wonderful friends along the way. If you have an idea but think you can’t do it, try anyway! You never know what might happen! I love reading reviews, good and bad (as long as the bad ones are constructive and tell me what they don’t like about the story). I’ve never deleted a review, even the one that personally attacked me and my spouse, who actually found it amusing. He now has a new nickname that came out of that review and we both use it a lot. So see? Something good came out of that bad review! I've read other stories where the author has put notes at the beginning of a chapter, talking about this bad review or that, but when I read them, only the good ones remain. Kind of defeats the purpose, don't you think? If it's nasty, I get it, but if someone takes the time to leave a review, I respect that, even if they don't like the story or the direction I'm going in. I hope you enjoy my stories and leave a review. Remember, I’m strictly an amateur and I write for my own enjoyment and hopefully yours. Be gentle but be honest. I'm on twitter and tumblr as simbaannie (yes, nherbie was already taken, go figure!) and Instagram as nherbie. Nothing creative out there, just hanging around, waiting for others to entertain me. |
