![]() Author has written 3 stories for Rurouni Kenshin. Hello, Everyone! I don't really know what to say here, so I will keep it short and sweet. Name: Terry McElrath (which is pretty obvious) Gender: Female (even though my name is spelled like a man's) Age: 55 (I'm a happy grandmother) Location: I live in the state of Oregon, in the United States Favorite Anime Shows: Rurouni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist, Yu Yu Hakusho, Saiyuki, Samurai 7, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Yu-Gi-Oh! Note: I've been warned that it is a good idea to list where my stories are posted, in order to make it more difficult for them to be plagiarized. At this time, Kyuushutsu is posted on HakuBaikou's excellent website, as well as here. Thank you, HakuBaikou! My other stories are only posted here. I don't know what else to say. I've never written any kind of fiction before July, 2004, other than the usual 'What I Did During My Summer Vacation' assignments in school. The Blizzard is my first story and was written simply to amuse myself. I never intended to post it. Ms. Zeal, who is a fine fan fiction author and wonderful friend, convinced me to post the story. The rest is, as they say, history. I would like to thank anyone who has taken the time to read my stories. Domo arigatou gozaimasu! September 17, 2007 – I was just reminded by two of my faithful readers that I haven’t updated this profile in a long time and I must apologize. I am very sorry that I haven’t posted the next chapter of Kyuushutsu in over ten months. I know it is no excuse, but my health has been an issue. My pulmonary hypertension has worsened, requiring adjustments to my treatment. Dealing with this, as well as other personal issues, has taken most of my energy. And to make matters worse, I’m going to have surgery next month. Again. My tenth, but who’s counting? I’ve been feeling better since my medications were increased again, and I am currently working on chapter twelve nearly every day. It is my goal to post the chapter before I have surgery, since I’m pretty sure I won’t feel like writing for a while afterwards. Please accept my most sincere apologies for the delay in updating Kyuushutsu. I know how frustrated I get when I have to wait for updates to stories I’m following, and I feel very badly that I am causing you to wait so long. As I’ve said before, I have a number of other Rurouni Kenshin stories I want to write. However, I will not start working on them until I’ve finished Kyuushutsu. And I will not post them until I have finished writing them, even though it may mean that there could be a long time between stories. That includes multi-chapter stories. That way, once finished, I will be able to post them in a timely manner. I also wish to thank all of the readers who have offered their well-wishes. Your thoughts and encouragement have meant the world to me. Thank you! – Terry |
