Author has written 7 stories for Harry Potter. 11/15/10 Update: It's been quite a while since I have updated my profile. I am now a mom of two, a five year old boy and a new baby boy just born in October. I will be going back to work full time in another month so I am unsure of when I am going to find time to write. I love reading fanfiction so that makes it even harder to update. I currently have 5 stories I am working on ... all of which are unfinished and all of which I am suffering from writers block on, to keep from having a stalled out story out there I am not planning on posting any of them until they are done. Three of my incomplete stories are Twilight fics and the other two are new Harry Potter fics. To any aspiring authors out there... do what you love and if writing makes you happy figure out a way to do it. The real world is not as exciting as it seems so stay young and if you have to grow up then make sure you enjoy what you do. God Bless, ~Redfrog These are some of my favorite completed fics, some are by my favorite authors but others are not. If you are looking for a good story or two look no further than these: Harry leaves Hogwarts stories: The Brave New World by bellerophon30: This is a Harry goes to America story that I really enjoyed. I don’t always go for these stories but this one is well written and the characters are engaging. A Second Chance at Life and its sequel Changes in a Time of War (still in progress) by Miranda Flairgold: I think Miranda has to be one of the most talented fan fiction writers out there. I absolutely am amazed at the level of detail she is able to generate. Her school and world are so believable that I know she could easily publish her own work with her exquisite creativity. In my opinion this is the best story out there. Sunset Over Britain and its sequel Sunrise Over Britain by bobmin located at http:/// : bobmin has some wonderful stories on his website but these are my favorites. Harry is smart, independent, powerful and the story is wonderfully detailed and the characters are well developed. Independent Harry Stories: Letters and Lunches by old-crow loralee1 is one of my favorite authors since she and I have similar ideas on making Harry independent. I like all of her Harry Potter stories but these ones I enjoy reading multiple times: Redefining Summer, Goblin Conspiracy, There is Only Power and Time to Live which is where my idea for The Farm came from (and am using with permission). Time Travel (not usually my cup of tea but this one was compelling): |
