![]() Author has written 7 stories for Star Wars, Son of Batman, Hotel Transylvania, How to Train Your Dragon, and Incredibles. Hello!! If you're here to know something about this useless skallywag... Congrats, you're in the right spot!! Something I've found to be frustrating is how little motivation I seem to have to write/continue my stories. It doesn't help that I can't stop reading other stories like an addict, though that's probably not a unique thing since I've seen people share their hundreds (some even to the 600s, I think) of unread stories in their mobile browser. One thing I'm certain of is that I do want to continue my stories, at least rewrite the ones I've done when I was... practically a kid. Looking back on my writing, I just keel over the mistakes or the lack of direction I seemed to have in my previous stories. The typical newbie way of writing or making a plot and all that. That's why I'm fully planning on rewriting most of my stories... when I finally get my scatter brain together. I have made plans for new stories in other different fandoms, like One Piece and Final Fantasy 15, making profiles and plot points, but one thing I've learned is that you should lower your expectations when it comes to me. I'm in AO3 and Spacebattles under the same username (RedHood001) because there are a lot of brilliant stories I've found there as well. This site also has its moments that made me realize how much I need to have backup plans in case email or site problems that happened before happened again. Oh yeah, I also have stories on my AO3 account. One is from God of War and the other is from Little Nightmares. As for the stories I have here... - Star Wars Episode VII: My first ever story... is definitely going to be rewritten. Looking back now, I think I want to write something that pays homage to the lore of Star Wars whilst still having fun with characters like Rey, Finn, Poe, and Kylo Ren. Don't expect it to happen anytime soon with how much my brain seems to fixate on different fandoms at random. One moment I'm thinking about My Hero Academia, then a few days later it goes to One Piece, only to take a left turn towards Lord of the Rings... I think I have ADHD but unless I get diagnosed by a medical professional, I won't claim to be. - The Berserker: This one was inspired by a story I read a long time ago where Hiccup was Drago and Heather's brother, but now I find myself shying away from doing that and making something new. My mindset at the time meant that I would've tried to write something similar, but I realized it would've lacked the direction needed to write a story. I've learned a lot from reading stories from authors who are undoubtedly more talented and dedicated than I am, so I'll put The Berserker in the backburner for when I can eventually find a good plot direction for it. - The Legacies of Batman: Ahh, this one brings back memories when I was still a huge DC nerd... I still am, but this story is definitely going to be rewritten as well. It was basically just a conversion from the animated movie to writing format with a small difference, which again, has got me cringing. Not that there's anything wrong with following the canon version, but it gets boring and dull when not much has changed. I've found that brilliant fanfiction stories are ones where, even when certain characters are following canon, the plot we're reading is unique in its own right and you see the changes that happen because of it. - Welcome to Hotel Transylvania!: This one was definitely a hilariously weird phase. It was inspired by two stories I still reread from time to time, A Woman's Touch by hatchlingpendragon and Hotel Transylvania! by Stone-Man85. I wanted to make a spin on a role reversal whilst simulatenously add new characters... without even planning anything. I mean, I had general plot ideas but it was... a mess. So this story is also going to the backburner until I find some inspiration to go back to this fandom and make a more coherent plot. - The Super Who Had No Choice: This one is still in its starting phase but I do plan on rewriting some stuff. The plot is definitely being pondered since, after rewatching Incredibles 2 and then read an Incredibles comic (that I didn't even existed at the time), I've found a way to perhaps create a more overarching plot. - Night Errand(s): This story was actually a request by a user on this site. It was actually one of the factors that got me into losing the motivation to write because, at the time, I think I was also swamped with so many real-life stuff going on and I just decided to put fanfiction writing behind me to ease the stress. |
