Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter, Pretender, JAG, and NCIS.
23 year old fanfiction-junkie who loves to delve into great written stories... currently I'm reading stories written for Castle (Caskett), Law & Order SVU (E/O) and Harry Potter (HG/SS). I used to write fanfiction as well but I've been suffering from writer's block for the last... well, let's say three years? It surely doesn't help that I usually write in English but watch Castle (definitely my favourite one!!) in English only (the German sync sucks!). Although my English is quite good (it's been part of my studies) I don't have the guts to write stories in English. Did I mention the writer's block? ...
I'm a shipper for life. I ship lots of 'couples' in various shows (besides the ones mentioned above): Bones (Booth/Brennan), X-Files (Scully/Mulder), JAG (Harm/Mac), Grey's Anatomy (Mark/Lexie), The Nanny (Niles/CC), Stargate (Sam/Jack), Star Trek: Voyager (J/C), Star Trek: TNG (Will/Deanna)... guess I forgot to mention some ships but I believe you get the point ;)
In my opinion, a well-written story contains a good story and some good old smut (or just PWP ;) ) AND no grammar/spelling mistakes. You can't believe how annoying it is to read stories (in a language which is NOT your mother tongue but which you've been learning/speaking for almost 14 years now!) and stumble over mistakes... (get yourselves a dictionary ;) )
By the way, at university I've been trained 'British English' so if I use words the American/Australian/etc readers among you aren't exactly familiar with some words... SORRY :) It's actually quite difficult to be aware of all the tiny differences of the accents while producing a language...
