i don't think you understand just how in love with kirstin maldonado i am
Sorry it's been so long since there's been an update, y'all. I really didn't mean for it to be. But instead of leaving anybody who's following to wonder if I'm dead or if I've just abandoned my stories or something, I decided to give you an update.
So. Life is crazy right now. My Junior year of high school is quickly coming to an end, and I don't really have any time to write, despite how much I want to. My life is a crazy jumble of going to school an hour early for choir, leaving an hour after school ends because of extracurricular activities, going to my dad's house for five or so hours, where there's always homework to be done on the Internet, then going back home to my mom's at a rather late hour, where there is no Wi-Fi for research for stories and whatnot, getting my chores done, then going to bed.
Adding the fact that I've got a 200-point research paper on Harry Houdini that's got to be done in a few days, I don't have any free time. I literally cannot, meaning it's completely impossible (according to the teacher), to pass the trimester if I don't do well on this paper. So I'm trying to focus on that, as well as a few other things.
Once all of this craziness is over, the hiatus still won't end. I've got some story ideas that are, I think, blocking ideas for the longer ones, like "The Boy King" and "Requiem for a Dream," as well as the drabbles for "Fairy Tales." It's hard to write chapters for longer stories when ideas for other things keep blocking the way. So I'm going to do my best to survive this school year. Then, during the summer, I'm going to, hopefully, write everything that's blocking the way and post those things. After that, I'm going to just write out the rest of the longer stories so you all won't have to wait ridiculously long amounts of time for the next update.
Hopefully, "Fairy Tales" won't have to wait as long as "The Boy King" and "Requiem for a Dream," because when I've got most of my work out of the way, I'll have time to write short drabbles. Hopefully.
I'm not sure how long all of that will take me, so please have patience while you wait for the next chapter updates! I'll do my absolute best to get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone who has favorited, followed, and reviewed my stories since I've been gone! It means a lot!

Hey guys! What's up? I feel like you should read that in Justin Willman's voice, but meh.
I procrastinate a lot, so chapters and stories are far and few in between. Sorry.
If you want to find me anywhere else, here's where you can do that...

"okay, if i could be allowed to rant here for a second…
i’m getting…i guess frustrated is not really the word, but rather more just bone-goddamn-tired of the way fic is treated in terms of feedback. particularly this whole ‘like, favorite, follow, kudo’ culture that makes it seem like clicking a button is sufficient enough to let the author know you like something they wrote. because i don’t think people truly realize how much that weighs down on an author’s self-esteem.
i don’t think non-writers really understand the way we’re constantly refreshing our activity page or emails any time we post something, hoping, praying that maybe someone will say at least one teeny, tiny nice thing about it. And while the small indications that you’ve read a story or are planning to read it are good for assessing if literally anyone cares, they don’t cut it for actual feedback and tbh i am sick and goddman TIRED of begging people to say something about what i write.
i get that fic is a much harder media to consume and circulate than art is. i get it. i also get that sometimes my fic doesn’t really jive with a person. you’re allowed to look at my fic and go ‘eh, not for me’ and click away. i do that all the time (trust me, i’m the queen of way too high fic expectations, it takes a lot for me to settle in). but at the same time, it’s so so so easy to just give up writing, because out of the various creative ways of expressing, it’s probably the one with the least amount of payoff.
so this is my plea to please please please take the extra minute and a half to leave a small comment, review, or reblog of a fic. hell, a reblog without any tags is preferable to nothing because at least you’re making an effort to circulate it so others can see it. i’m tired, on the verge of just giving up, and i don’t want to have to beg for feedback any longer. so please, if you like a fic LET THE AUTHOR KNOW"
