Over the years, a genuine friendship has developed between the two, and Ezra still deeply cares for Sabine. Sometimes, Ezra realizes, subtle changes are the most meaningful ones.

My own standalone version of the moment Ezra gives Sabine his lightsaber in the second half of Season 4, but with about 99% more Ezra/Sabine than the show will give us. Set some time in episodes 12/13 of Season 4, with a number of assumptions made about the plot of the next few episodes.

I took a step back in the Rebels world and decided to rewrite the pairing we all wanted to happen. It takes a while, but it isn't as long as some other stories out there.

Sabine and Ezra are left alone on the Ghost while Zeb, Hera, and Kanan go into town for supplies. His lightsaber, the symbol of his status as a Jedi has finally been completed and he takes the chance to reflect on his life and the weapon in his hands by enjoying the countryside. Without his friends, it wouldn't have even been completed and Ezra wouldn't be who he is now. However, he hasn't yet realized that a certain friend just found him...

Christine married Erik and has borne him three children. Sweet. Fluffy. Very short one-shot. (I might add more later.)

A mission goes badly for the Rebels. So now Ezra and Sabine are trapped in an Imperial dragnet. With no help from the rest of the team it's up to Ezra to use his street smarts to keep himself and an injured Sabine out of Imperial hands. This story follows the life of Christine Daae from the young age of 14 where she works in a brothel after her father's death, to when she works as a maid for the Vicomte de Chagny, to finally when a mysterious angel at an opera house picks her to protect and love. A cycle of heartbreak and pain is one that only she can break as she struggles to live free and happy. Sexual content.

An alternate LND - Christine couldn't help but return; she'd shattered his heart, any pain he'd endured was down to her. But what was supposed to be one night of passion ends in life-long consequences...

Erik realizes that he doesn't have the strength to let her go, and she realizes that if freedom means living without him, she would rather be his prisoner. Erik can contain his madness up to a point in his daily life if he concentrates hard enough. That came with plenty of practice. Unfortunately, he's never had much opportunity to master his desires... Leroux-based. Oneshot. MATURE.

In Susan Kay's novel "Phantom" Erik tells Christine the story of the Rose who loved a Nightingale. Kay tells us that Christine went to bed after the story. I'd like to believe something else may have happened, which would have changed the whole story.
