Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, Inuyasha, and Final Fantasy VII.
So, let me tell you a story...
Shortly after starting Saving Iris, I ended up going on hiatus for several years - determined my fanfiction days were behind me. But then, I somehow got sucked back into the miasma. And now, I don’t know if I can or will stop. (I probably will at some point, though… I am a working professional, after all. Life gets busy… Plus I'm currently trying to finish my own novel that I hope to try and get published sometime in the near future. Possibly 2018-2019.)
Anyway, I swore all I would do was just finish Saving Iris, and then I would be done. But then I got curious about what would happen to Iris, Oliver and everyone following the war. So I told myself just one more story and A Life Worth Living (formerly Saving Oliver, I was never happy with that title) was born.
I allowed myself to include a bit of an epilogue to get the kid thing out of my system. “Just to feed my curiosity of what Oliver and Iris’ kids would be like. Then I’ll be done. It’ll be out of my system. No more.”
Naturally, I got the idea for Surviving Hogwarts and its sequel Life & Times of a Flaming Pixie and immediately starting writing them.
So, I’ve decided to just embrace the craziness and keep at it until I can do no more either because I’m out of inspiration, curiosity or my real life demands much more attention. Surviving Hogwarts and Life & Times were mostly written concurrently – which got a little confusing. As Surviving Hogwarts is now completed, I plan to spend a few days up to a week going through and editing/polishing Life & Times before I begin posting it. It probably won't be updated as often as Surviving Hogwarts until I get all the writing finished, but I can promise that it will be updated regularly. Honestly, as I'm notorious for getting into the second half of stories and then deciding to completely change major plot lines from the beginning, I don't like to start posting until I know that I for sure have a storyline I'm happy with and I have more than half written so there isn't any stall in posting. So, be patient with me. It's coming. And once it's up, the chapters will be published regularly and often - which is probably better than one chapter here and there.
I’ve gotten quite cozy in this next generation world I’ve created, so I’m currently toying around with adding stories on the various other offspring of the original HP characters. I’m leaning strongly towards doing one just for the Wood triplets that will take place a couple years after Life & Times since Daisy got her own story. Or possibly one for Lucy Weasley, or Teddy and Victoire. Hell, at this point, I might as well just create an entire series purely for my own amusement and give them all their own story…
I’ve also been hankering to do something on the Weasley twins, going back into the 90s that may or may not be related/connected to the previous stories I wrote set in that time. We shall see…
Outside Harry Potter funness, I’m not sure if I’ll ever get around to finishing The Feud. I’ve forgotten where I was heading with that and seem to have lost the original file which included another chapter that I hadn’t posted yet. So I would have to sit down and brainstorm a bit – or I might just leave it alone until inspiration finally hits.
About me personally, nothing much to know. I do write and edit for a living in the news media industry. Editing is a bit boring. Writing, obviously, is more enjoyable.
And that’s about it! Hope you all enjoy my stories!
Pure and simple crack involving characters from Inuyasha, Ruroni Kenshin, Wolf's Rain, Fruits Basket, Prince of Tennis, Full Metal Alchemist and more. Yea, this is what I work on when I need to relieve stress...
Final Fantasy: Advent Children Stories
So, this was probably the fastest I've ever written a story and the first story I've completed in a really long time. It's short, but sweet and I hope you enjoy it!
The Dead Waltz (Complete) Set a few years after Advent Children. A terrible accident nine months ago left Elena walking through life as a shell. One person longs to break her free from the dead waltz she had stumbled into, but is there any way to truly bring her out of her self-induced numbness?
This one is a little darker than my previous Elena-fic, but I think if you enjoyed that one, you'll enjoy this one as well. I wanted to play with a different aspect of Elena's character and try to bring out some more of her vulnerability.
The Feud- (Hiatus) What started as an innocent night out to the club turns ugly as two Turks enter a feud that turns the whole office upside down. The prize? Elena, of course.
Whatever possessed me to write another Elena fic? I don't know, but where the muses lead, I must follow. This one is my attempt at making a humorous Elena story. After the last two, I felt the poor girl deserved some fun. So, this one is a comedy with some slight romance, but who she will end up with, well, even I don't know that one at the moment...
Harry Potter Series
Definitely veers off canon, but in my defense, I started it before the sixth book had come out. After a super long hiatus, I went back and finally decided to finish it, but by that time the series – both the books and movies - had been finished. I couldn't see a way around it so some of it sticks to the books, while some of it goes off in other directions. Either way, it was definitely a ride.
A Life Worth Living: Sequel to Saving Iris (Complete) The war is over and the good have won. But in its wake, there is a trail of destruction. Even Iris isn't sure what to do with her newfound freedom. She had hoped to pick up where she and Oliver had left off, but in their year apart he faced darkness, despair and guilt. Iris hopes she can help pick up the pieces, but learns it’s hard to save someone who doesn’t want to be saved.
I'll admit, I mostly wrote this for my own enjoyment. There's a bit of angst and darkness – as to be expected when dealing with surviving a war - but also some fluff and a cheesy, happy ending. And there is more George and Percy, which I was incredibly happy to write. I’m totally a Weasley fan girl.
Surviving Hogwarts (Completed) All of Oliver Wood’s children are quidditch-obsessed. That is a fact. In their final year at Hogwarts, Jamie, Alan and Remus know it’s time to focus, win the Quidditch Cup, and impress the scouts so they can get signed by summer. However, younger sister Daisy is out to make a name for herself and prove once and for all to her overprotective father and brothers that she is capable of living her own life.
So, this is obviously a next generation fic that continues the story of everyone’s favorite quidditch fanatic – Oliver Wood – through his children. While not a direct sequel to Saving Iris and A Life Worth Living, it does pick up from where those storylines left off and includes quite a bit of those characters. There are shenanigans and pranks, a touch of romance, and a whole lot of the Weasley-Potter clan.
Life & Times of a Flaming Pixie (In Progress) Fresh out of Hogwarts and signed to the Arrows reserve team, Daisy Wood is finally on her own and ready to conquer the world. Well... sort of. She still lives with her meddling older brothers, who are all rising quidditch stars. Her dad is backseat coaching, much to the annoyance of the new Arrows coach - a young man with a mysterious past from Sweden. And don't even get her started on dating...
I've finally started posting this one. It's currently three-fourths of the way done, though I'm in the process of editing and smoothing things out now that I've finished Surviving Hogwarts for consistency's sake (as I did write a lot of it before I had finished). Should start posting soon. I have enjoyed writing this one, even though it's requiring a lot of research and planning. And is really pushing my limits in terms of writing quidditch scenes (God Almighty, they are killing me... why did I choose to make the main characters all quidditch players?? Next one I do from Next Gen - no quidditch). I've got an entire Google Drive folder full of reference photos, team rosters, family trees, quidditch schedules and so on just for this one...
