Hi everybody! My name is Sara and I live in Italy.

I'm a pretty useless person who thinks too much about everything and who loses herself in music and words. That's it, the best description of me.

I love reading and writing and I chose to write in English so I can improve it, but it's not actually my language, of course. Though I found out it's easier for me to write fictions in English rather than in Italian. Don't ask why 'cause I don't know.

I don't usually write fictions, but I'm enjoying writing fanfictions for you guys. I mostly write philosophy essays, poems, works written in a poetic language, romance, and some weird poetic stuff. And I mostly write them in Italian, but when it comes to fictions I get stuck. Instead, if I write in English I go on writing and, incredible, I even end some works.

I'm studying classical studies as an home-schooler. Not easy. Not at all. But I like it. I love literature and philosophy and I want to study that at university.

My favourite authors are Carlos Ruiz Zafòn and Philip Pullman, along with Laura Mancinelli, Neil Gaiman and Marion Zimmer Bradley. Though I just can't not mention Emily Rodda, and Marzia Bosoni (I'd tell you to check her book “Un mondo per Sharon”, but it hasn't been translated in English, not yet at least), who wrote some of the very best books for children, and those books totally made my childhood. But I didn't include poets and philosophers in those favourites' list. So I love Saffo and Baudelaire as for the poets, and also Whitman and Tagore, Leopardi and Rilke (just to mention some). Then I love Platon, Schopenhauer and Luis Mumford, as well as a lot of others that I won't name for your own good.

I've always wanted to be a writer, since I wrote my first “poem” (it was more like some sentences about the rain) when I was six. And my mum's a writer, so I'm just hoping for the best. And don't worry, I do write better in Italian ahah

But, hey, I do have a life out of writing stuff! So, yeah I also love horse riding and listening to music, I want to travel the word, because I believe that travelling is having the possibility of living more than one life. Then I would love to be a journalist, but I also want to learn to be a mechanic and to drive air-planes (yeah, I know I like a lot of different things, I'm weird). Plus, I'm trying to learn to play the guitar on my own, I want to learn languages (I need to learn Spanish, so I can move there one day) and different cultures. And I oh so love the night, the stars, the wind. They can tell so much. I'm just the person who could spend the whole night looking at the stars and listening to the wind, too cliché? I know, a lot of people say that, but not a lot actually do that, instead I do and I did a lot of times, while my father yelled at me to go to sleep. I never listen to him, of course, it would ruin the poet that's in me.

I love the silence. I mean, the real, magic, amazing silence, when the world speaks and you listen.
