Fangs
(Vampires - Vampires are very aloof, though whether that is because of their inability to die of natural causes or because they naturally are nocturnal creatures, who can say. Contrary to popular myth, however, vampires will not turn to dust in the sunlight, although direct sunlight causes adverse affects such as extreme and quick sunburn. This can be prevented with the usual measures taken to prevent sunburn, though most vampires prefer the night. Vampires have heightened reflexes and seem extremely fast to the naked eye, though they cannot fly, nor can they turn into bats. Their eyesight is also extremely keen and they can see in the dark. This is another reason vampires prefer the night, as they can damage their eyesight if they are in the sunlight without protection too long. Vampires can only be killed by piercing their hearts - this does not have to be done exclusively with a wooden stake.)

Claws
(Family ties are very important to the werewolves, where it be found family, blood family or both. When not transformed, the werewolf has heightened senses, specifically sound and scent. Depending on the proximity to the full moon, a werewolf may find themselves growing physically stronger, more aggressive and territorial, and generally more likely to get physical with someone, the physicality in this instance taking on several meanings. When transformed, the personality and characteristics of the werewolf influences their wolf form. Some wolves are ultimately harmless, if infinitely more canine. Some wolves are actively violent. The wolf form brings out the base instincts of a person.)

What passes for “humanity” in the gangs does not seem all that human sometimes. Plenty of citizens of Castellum City are born without powers but witches can come from anywhere. Mixed species children are not uncommon but they usually retain only one of their parents’ characteristics. The witches posses psionic abilities, including: telekinesis, psychokinesis, reality manipulation (rare), perception manipulation, and energy manipulation. These can be controlled by either verbal incantations, written spells (can include tattoos), or by movement. A witch specializes in one of these three either by choice or by natural instinct. Emotion often influences magical manifestations, so it is always important for a witch to be able to control their emotions or risk causing damage to their surroundings.)

Silks
(Elusive and mysterious, the sirens are the smallest and newest gang of supernatural beings in Castellum City. While the other four groups at least pass as human, the sirens do not possess that ability and are clearly marked by their perpetually damp hair, rough damp skin like a shark's, completely dark eyes, and sharp teeth. Though their cousins the mermaids have melodious and pleasant voices, they do not sing songs like the sirens do. The sirens natural voice, rough and harsh, directly contrasts their singing voice, which is smooth and mesmerizing. Their song is as effective as any mind control spell and just as dangerous, if not more. Once you have been controlled by a siren, you are more susceptible to their song. The sirens stick to their kind and are aloof and condescending to everyone else, unconcerned and bored with the minutia of the land-dwellers' lives.)

Hoods
(The shape-shifters are perhaps unfairly regarded by the rest of supernatural society of Castellum City, especially those shifters whose form is a prey animal. The shifters can only transform into an animal form. Their first transformation is often entirely instinctual and happens whenever the shifter experiences an adrenaline spike. A shifter usually becomes aware of their abilities anywhere between the ages of seven and seventeen. They only have one animal form, that grows as they do. The rarest of all shifters is the human shifter, who has no animal form, but can instead change their human appearance at will. These shifters are so rare and dangerous that their abilities are logged by the City Watch, as a safety precaution. However, since this is so rare an ability, most shifters do not have to worry about this.)
