Illusion Of Gain
Perhaps I should fill this bit out a bit, hmmm?
Real name: Jacqueline, but I also respond to Lady J, Lady Lexis and "Hey, you!".
Gender: Female (gasp!)
Nationality: Northern Irish. Yep, from the cold-assed, rainy throw-up stain that is Northern Ireland.
Occupation: Full time penniless student at Queen's University, Belfast, studying for a degree in English. Besides that, I'm also a full time complainer about being a full time penniless student. I like to avoid anything that seems like hard work. Or work at all at that rate. Yep.
What's it all about, Jackie: I don't know, but I do know that I like fanfiction!
Favourite subject: I mostly write MGS3 fics. Don't get me wrong, the other titles are great, but I find the Snake Eater characters more compelling. I like LotR fic, but find I lose interest in them too fast to actually write one. I'll read mostly anything, but tend to be wary of slash pairings, simply for the fact that they have a greater chance of seeming implausible. But if it's well done, I'll most certainly read! I'm more of a reader than a writer, which is a perfectly noble profession in itself. -ahem- I'm always looking for constructive criticism, and always keen to meet new writers like myself. Cheers!
Current obsession: Kingdom of Heaven! Completely, utterly, totally enthralled with the portrayal of The Leper King, Baldwin IV of Jerusalem, and especially with the relationship between him and his sister. Did someone say incest? No, it's just sibling love. -ahem-
On-going works: "My Pretty Jungle Flower" - A MGS 3 fic. An exploration of the relationship between a Russian girl, plucked from obscurity and Colonel Volgin.
What's in the pipeline: Not sure. If I grow a pair, I'll attempt a Kingdom of Heaven fic, but I'm terribly afraid of rejection. -sob- There's an idea formulating in my head, as of yet wild and uncultivated. Mmmmmm. Just bear with me, and I'll reign her in. Keep watching this space! -- ( )

Remember: Reviews are meant to help you. Flames are meant to burn your fingers. Reviews should encourage you, not destroy you. In future, I intend to follow my own advice, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." I hereby vow to TRY not to flame anymore. But some things are just so terrible. -.-
