Author has written 2 stories for Wrestling.
I'm a graduate of Radford University. I have my Bachelor of Arts both in Public Relations and Sociology, and a minor in Media Studies. I've been dabbling in fan-fiction now for about 15 years, and have somehow only churned out 2 stories (one of which is still in the works). This is because when I start a story, I don't stop until I see it done completely. And quality takes time. :) Besides, I much prefer to read than write. I'm also a book-a-holic. If I don't have a new book in my hands at least once a month, I go through serious withdrawal. I'm a quick reader, too, which makes this all the more challenging. I'll read practically anything, but I mainly stick with fantasy fiction (Twilight, the Sookie Stackhouse novels, Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, etc). It's always cool when authors can something so completely mythological and weave it into the fabrics of our realities. I sometimes wish I had that talent, but alas, it is not to be. I also love to read politically-themed books. Glenn Beck is my favorite. :) The man just tells it like it is.
I've been a wrestling fan for about 17 years, and my favorite Superstar has been, is, and always will be The Undertaker. He's the one who got me officially hooked in 1994. I'd watched NWA/WCW only from around 1990-1994. Then, I saw the Phenom, the Undertaker. His match at Summerslam 1994 against the second Undertaker showed me how entertaining professional wrestling can be. My first fan fiction story is actually its third draft. I'd been writing it since freshman year of high school. I was nervous about publishing it on a fan-fic website because I was always worried people would think I was crazy. But, to find other authors who write wrestling fan-fics that are actually great, well-written, pretty authentic stories kind of boosted my confidence a little.
I've got nine tattoos (one of Undertaker's symbol on my spine; a she-devil on my left bicep; Undertaker's "Thinking Demon" on the inside of my left arm; a black gate around my she-devil; a sword with a fire-breathing dragon wrapping around it on my right calf in the shape of the Egyptian ankh; two red hearts with a black rose going through them, a banner over each heart, and my mom and little sister's names on each heart; a heart with "Angel" on a banner, and two different-colored roses going through it; the Japanese kanji symbol for "Ninja"; and a bracelet around my left wrist with "eNVy" in the nameplate [long, personal story]), and I'm probably gonna get a few more. What can I say: I'm kind of a masochist.
My Favorite Wrestlers
Top Five of all Time
1.) Undertaker - "the greatest character Vince McMahon ever created." Future Hall of Famer, superb athlete, great on-screen personality...the real "Wrestling God"!
2.) Triple H - wow...the man has it all, he really does; great in-ring technician, amazing mic skills, and the look of a World champion (even when he doesn't have the World title); gonna see him in the Hall of Fame in the far future, for sure. :D
3.) Ric Flair - the Nature Boy, none like him, and there never will be. He can get technical, or downright nitty gritty, with the best of 'em. He is truly, for all time, the "man"!
4.) Chris Benoit (RIP "Crippler") - Hardcore, one of the best wrestlers to ever be in the business...his passion for what he does was absolutely contagious! The way he went out was beyond tragic, and I will never understand why. But I will also never forget what he contributed to a business he loved so much!
5.) Shawn Michaels - the Heartbreak Kid is just...he's pretty damn great is what he is. Talk about amazing to watch in the ring! He can get it done with the big men, the little guys, and everybody in between. Love him, love him, LOVE HIM!
