Hello everyone. What can I say about myself...???
I was a huge X-Files fan, hence my username, queequeg1013. I am an even bigger Star Wars fan. In fact, I've probably seen Star Wars a few hundred times, not including the prequels. I used to come home from grade school and pop in a copied tape of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi (I didn't copy the tape myself, I swear; I was only 6 or 7 at the time) into my vcr and loop it over and over, while I was doing homework. That was my ritual until I was able to ride my bike outside by myself.
Right now, I cannot miss an episode of Smallville or Top Chef. Heroes is great too. Law and Order: SVU rocks.
Anyway, I am pretty much a sci-fi fan. Everything from the before-mentioned X-Files and Star Wars to Superman and Spiderman. Not really into comics, although my brother gave me his collection of Robotech comics and novels. I absolutely love Robotech, an 80's cartoon for those who are not familiar with it. It was my first glimpse into anime. I love 80's cartoons as well (Voltron, GI Joe, Thundercats, Smurfs, He-Man, etc.).
Anime that I love besides Macross/Robotech...Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, Fruits Basket (I wish they would complete the series, urgh!), and Sailor Moon (most of it anyway). I don't really like dubbed anime, but Cowboy Bebop had really great voice over acting. All others I prefer to watch subtitled. I love both incarnations of Macross (Japanese and Robotech). The Do You Remember Love movie may just have the most beautifully done animation, it still holds up today. Most of the shows I mentioned also have outstanding music to accompany the excellent storylines.
I love a lot of movies, and my top 20 sometimes change. But these are always on my favorite list: Star Wars (IV, V, and VI), The Godfather I and II, Superman (I, II and Returns), The Lord of the Rings (Fellowship and Two Towers; I would have loved Return of the King, but the multiple endings was kind of anti-climatic), and Beauty and the Beast. Kill Bill is great too. I like comedies too, don't get me wrong. Ghostbusters and The Wedding Singer are really high on my all-time list as well. For some reason, everytime Shawshank Redemption is shown on tv, I've got to watch it; just a brilliant movie.
What else...? Cartoons, movies, television, music, food, sports lover...
So much to do and see, so little time.
