Author has written 17 stories for Supernatural, and Twilight.
UPDATE -- My minor writing is unofficially on hiatus. I've been swamped. But I'm still trying to continue with my reading, and brainstorming
I just got into fan fiction again not too long ago and ended up liking it a lot more than I thought. I used to be kind of a snob about online fiction because I didn't think it was any good, just a bunch of badly written, out-of-character stories. I must've been reading the wrong things because since then, I've discovered pieces that were so well-written and emotional, they've been the equivalent of a smack across the face or a hole in the heart. And now, I have ideas of my own, sometimes slipping through my mind before I can put them to paper, which I'm trying to be diligent about. Writing is a little hard for me at the moment, but I'm determined to get something up. I'm currently working on a couple of projects, but I'm not sure when I'll publish them. First-time jitters and all.
As a new writer, I'm open to any helpful constructive criticism. No meanies...
As a reader, I'm game for anything. Except pure (modern) horror, erotica, and non-fiction because I don't feel I gain anything from those genres. Well, that's not true. I love history, but not biographies. Someone really has to interest me for me to pick up a bio about them, i.e. Chaplin or any of my favorite actors. Although I'll read anything, my favorites are romantic suspense, drama, adventure, graphic novels/shojo manga, coming-of-age, fairytales, and classic literature. But anything's better with a little romance thrown in the mix. ;)
I also dabble in scripts now and then and sometimes indulge in children's books, a guilty pleasure. I like poetry, but don't have the dedication to seek it out myself, so I hold onto the few I find and love. I've never tried picking up a real comedy book - are there such things? - but I do love humor and parodies done for a fandom. Unfortunately, I'm not a bookworm and don't read anywhere near as much as I'd want to. It's so time consuming and a little daunting. I'm honestly frightened of the immense, never-ending, always increasing amount of novels and stories out in the world. Maybe that's what keeps me from just diving in?
Kudos to anybody who can guess what book inspired my username! :)
