Disclaimer: So yeah, I'm kind of a troll, sometimes. Not to say that I go out of my way to antagonize people or anything, but I find people's reactions amusing to watch. I mean, when it comes to a person's expectations not being met, people are either pleasantly amused and have a lot of fun, or they get real angry because they're uncomfortable—or in some cases, they're angry because there's only one right way, and how dare you, goddammit!
In any case, I'd (generally) recommend not reading my fanfiction if you're in the latter category. I genuinely want and appreciate constructive criticism (e.g., pacing issues, character development within the context of the story, bad grammar, foreshadowing, climax/story structure). But, but! For example: I don't give a fuck if your subjective opinion on how Sasuke, a fictional character whose consistency within its original work is debatable begin with (hey, original authors are not necessarily perfect character development gods themselves), is different than mine, nor do I think that your ability to predict a character's reaction to being thrown into a highly implausible scenario is any better than my own. Christ, I don't even know how I would react, and I'm me. I mean feel free to be pissed, of course, but don't be surprised if the only thing you illicit is amusement. I'm up for a good solid debate, but debating involves the presentation of facts and the ability to not be an asshole. Just remember that if you really want to help people make their work better, then help. Anything else is about you, not them. And remember how much time and passion people put into their writing when you do it.
