Hi, so I'm a relatively average gal who loves reading, writing, movies, tv, and a lot of hobbies. Which sometimes get in the way of writing, along with that darn thing called life. And I love Minecraft and sometimes get sucked into my huge projects (I made a 96x96 pyramid lol oops) Current project is sending all my favorite fics to my kindle, in proper kindle ebook format. This has turned out to be both harder and easier than I thought. ;) If anyone wants to chat about it, send me a pm.

If anyone doesn't speak/write English as a first language, or you just plain don't write it well, or have spelling issues, I can try to help since some of my friends virtually use me as a dictionary/editor/coat rack/ect. So if you'd like help on writing, and you'd like that help from me, just ask. Heck, if you just want a beta feel free to ask. I may or may not agree, depending on how much time I have, but it never hurts to ask (PM or e-mail). I am officially listed as a Beta Reader in certain categories, mostly ones I write for. I change it at times when I get sucked into a particular show/book but you can ask about others I have written for if you like.
Just a friendly little...well...warning I guess you could call it. I am a certified whomper. Okay, so there is no real certification, but still.
*I am currently looking for Beta Readers. I have a few fics going but haven't had a lot of luck finding currently active Beta Readers. Category: Merlin (TV)* What I am looking for in a beta reader: Someone to not only check spelling and grammar, but also someone who will assess the flow of sentences, and to make sure they make sense. Also to evaluate the plot (make sure I don't leave holes/assume people know things), the characters (I don't often intend for them to be out of character), and provide general feedback to help me improve my stories. If you're interested, PM me please. I'd prefer someone somewhat long-term to bounce ideas off and send multiple fics. I swear I have looked through a lot of beta profiles. Admittedly, I haven't contacted many, but spelling/grammar errors in a beta profile doesn't give me confidence.
One is when people (usually they announce it) write a fanfic on a show or book that they've never seen or read, only having read fanfics on the subject. It's annoying because they don't know anything about the story or the characters besides what's in the fanfic, most of it opinion. Just makes me wonder what they're thinking.
Another is something I've decided to call fanfic canon, others call it fanon. When someone writes a fact into their story, and everyone else who reads it then writes it into their fanfics as if it were truth. It irritates me, especially when I know that it's not canon. I'm alright with mixing worlds, but it can get confusing if it's not stated (I mean how do you know something is canon from another world if you haven't read/watched/played it.)
When every other story is romance and every character (practically) is paired up with another. I love adventure, hurt/comfort, and friendship stories.
Stories I am Least Likely to Read:
Ones written in first person format. Well written from the perspective of an outsider/OC/this is you I might be convinced to read. Maybe. But not a first person canon character perspective. It just wierds me out for some reason.
Stories not in paragraph format, aka: script format or poetry, or stories where the dialogue isn't properly separated and all the characters are "talking" in the same paragraphs, ect. *shudder*
AU all the characters meet in high school stories. Just...no.
Stories that are poorly written with bad spelling, grammar, and/or structure. FF.net offers betas. Use them. And spell check. It's especially a turn-off if the summary has misspellings. And saying your summary is bad or your fic is not well written. Seriously? Do you not want people to read it? Because that's what happens.
I am not the biggest fan of OC's when they are purely written to be a canon character's love interest. Or when the summary states there is an OC. I prefer to grow to like an OC but the statement of "this story revolves around my OC" puts me off before I even click on the link. I am more accepting of OC's in expanded/multiple media categories than in categories where there is a small 'main cast' the OC is being thrust into. I think some of it just has to do with the abbreviation. Use some other hook to draw people into the story and give them a chance to decide if they like your character. There are some stories with Original Characters I do like, and I have written (mostly) a few.
"Character X's long lost child/spouse finds them/returns".
Stories can be whimsical or frightening or melancholy or many other things. But noble stories are the ones that can most affect our lives. -Eudana (Prime Factors)
What your eyes show you is only the surface of reality. Look deeper. - Tanis (Cold Fire)
Here I am free to do what I wish - free from judgement, free to fail, without a sense of shame, without the taunts of the ignorant. (??)
I was going to conquer the world, but I was distracted by someth...
Starships don't need keys.
E: What should we do? V: Take over the world! E: With peanut butter! V: I've got some in the fridge...
SQUIRREL!! - Up
At the moment: Well, I started watching Merlin...enough said. I am going to attempt to finish a few of my unfinished fics, and hopefully do that between working on my projects.
A few one-shots swimming through my head. I only have 4 in progress lol
The Abject Prophesies. Summary: Coreivan's prophesies went against so many accepted prophesies that they were labeled "The Abject Prophesies" and considered foretold by a fake or a madman only seeking fame. Yet, sometimes, even the most hopeless of prophesies can have a chance to come true.
Plenty of fics and ideas that may or may not make it to here :P
Somewhat dead/on hiatius:
Life After Death And Decepticons. I will try to get back to it. Just moved twice in a year and it's hard to get back to some things.
Mardi Gras is falling through the cracks. Hopefully someday I will get less distracted with fluffy new ideas and get back to it.
Cauldron Baby. I do still think about it from time to time...mostly how I want to completely re-write it.
