Author has written 2 stories for Slayers.
Eh, I'm not dead, I'm just resting.
Oh, you want me to expand on that, huh?
Yeah, six years is a helluva long hiatus, soooo...
I went to college, which I strongly recommend for everyone. It's nothing like high school--which amuses me when I see 'college' fics which are nothing like college and everything like high school.
Amusingly, I spent about four years leading a guild in World of Warcraft. I'm not going to lie; being a guildleader was a very rewarding experience. I met a ton of awesome people and had a blast. But guild leading is also a terrible drain and at the end of the four years, I was exhausted.
So, sorry to say, after it was all said and done in February 2011 when I quit the game, I did not immediately feel any upwelling of writerly creativity. I felt as if it had been sucked right out of me.
True story... I have another 10 chapters of AFIA in rough draft. I have about four more chapters of DA, even with the damned ending written. Will I ever get the chance to sit down and edit them to my liking and post them? Honestly, I'm not sure at all. I would like to, especially since I see I'm still getting notifications that people want to see more via alert and I really hate letting people down.
I used to (actively) moderate the linaxelloss (Slayers) board on Yahoo. The group started about 2001 and is (sadly) pretty much dead, aside from those pernicious, thrice damned adbots. However, for those of you interested in the ancient days of X/L fandom, feel free to look thru the old forum posts and files here: I think the forum chatter was my personal favorite, because after we got going, I got to know some of the other X/L writers who were active at the time and really, you couldn't ask for a nicer group of deviants anywhere =D
Any comments? Questions? Accolades? Death threats? Feel free to drop me a line. I'm still listening.
