The Edge of the Night is not my best work but it's done. Although I am not going to promote it but I am hoping it will sale. I am working on my next poetry book, but the next one is hard enough with the big words.

In the corner of the night

The shadows of pain roam free

Oblivious to the pain and sorrow in plain sight

Inhumane in their decree

The torture of a single soul

Demanding to give up and submit

The undue pressure of a deadly toll

Will demand our undivided grit

United in our cause to break free

From slavers position to whack us diligently

Suppressing our willingness to flee

From the overlords that insures us aptly.

In the corner of the night

Where our ancestors broke free of their restraints

Never again, to turn away from freedom’s light

Or be bounded by the darkness restraints

Then my favorite is

Unrequited Love

Unrequited Love

The love I bare to stand

Where I don’t make the demand

Quenched by your presence

It’s the only single essence

The demeanor of our love is unrequited

To the essentials of patriotism still remain united

Quite the opposite of a weary heart

Still remain from the very start

Roaming the boundaries of the seven wonder

To quell the stare that tears us asunder

The undo pressure can’t break our composer

Of being apart from each other

So far so good.
