Hi, my name is Seraphina. I love magic and good stories, and adore finished/completed fan-fictions. I'm soon to be a graduate student and as long as something doesn't harm my family probably one of the most accepting people in the world (at least I try to be).
My favorite stories to read are Romances in the Harry Potter, Witch Hunter Robin, Yuugioh, Inuyasha, Shaman King, and The Mummy sections and Ia also like Sailor Moon stories I simply haven't ever read any from this site.
Oddly enough I am Christian and I am from a very devout family, but I have absolutely no problems with slash and homosexuality in general. My parents taught me acceptance and it wasn't until I was almost a full grown adult that I found out that people ever had problems with homosexuality outside of fiction. When I read, I normally read slash pairings. This is based on me reading what I see as realistic and not based on what the authors wrote. I trust authors to be as biased about their characters as most people are in real life so I figure that they write to an audience or about what they are comfortable with and have a tendency to ignore the chemistry between certain characters because it doesn't fit what they are trying to write. (A very good author I know is very much against homosexuality and because of it doesn't see any of the chemistry that exists between her male characters.) I'm sorry if people find this point of view insulting and I try not to fore it on anyone.
My biggest pet peeve with fan fiction is when authors put down two characters that aren't paired together to come under the refinement tools and then don't have the courtesy to list the actual pairing in the summary. I understand that the pairing might not be the focus of the story or that the other character they put down might play a very big part, but it still means causes people to lose time reading a story that they would not have otherwise read because they misunderstood the pairing.
My favorite pairings by series are:
Harry/Draco, Harry/Voldemort, Harry/Lucius, Harry/Remus, Harry/Bill, Harry/Charlie, Harry/Severus, Harry/James, Harry/Voldemort/Lucius, Harry/Severus/Lucius, Harry/Draco/Lucius, Harry/Draco/Severus, Harry/Severus/Remus, Harry/George, Harry/Fred, Harry/Fred/George, Harry/Cedric, Harry/Blaise, Harry/Other male Slytherins, Harry/Slytherin and Harry/Griffindor. I like other m/m and m/f minor pairings, but I don't like HP with females or with Ron.
Robin/Amon and no one else really
Yugi/Yami and Seto/Joey and pretty much any Yami and their other half, I rather dislike stories that have Joey/Mokuba as a pairing though.
Inu-yasha/Sesshomaru, Inu-yasha/Kouga and a little Kagome with Sesshomaru or Inu-yasha (though only rarely)
Amidamaru/Yo and, actually it's easier to say that I like pretty much any pairing except Yo and his fiance' or another female.
Evie and Imohtep
Sailor Moon/Tuxedo Mask, Mars/Jedeite, Mercury/Zoisite, Jupiter/Nephrite, Venus/Kunzite and I once read a Serena/Rei story that was very good.
If I ever get any of my stories up I hope they are enjoyed, but while I am able to dream up good stories and tend to be a good editor, writing isn't really my forte'.
My challenge that I would love to have someone write for me because I love the idea of it but am unable to do it full justice is a Dobby/Harry Challenge and here are the details:
House elves are actually the true elves from fairy tales, but under enchantment.
Dobby is the Prince of the Elves.
Elves can’t assume their true forms until their submissive mates make their majority. Submissive elves live only as house elves up to their own majority because their dominant mates are always older then them.
Majority is made at age 15 or 16, unless very powerful (interpret that however).
Harry Potter is Dobby's submissive soul mate.
Can be mpreg; must be slash (no gender switching); age up to you (Chan allowed within reason); Pretty much all powers and levels are up to you (except elves must get stronger as they get older and royals must start out stronger then ordinary elves); dark, grey, or light up to you; before, during, after the war, or AU all are up to you (I personally prefer timid and shy Harry normally). Triads are allowed outside of the main Harry/Dobby pairing. I am happy to provide prompts per request tailored to each story and please let me know if you take up the challenge!
