Author has written 6 stories for Inuyasha.
Explain your Pseudonym: My nickname is Oreo because it's my favorite cookie and I tend to act a bit rabid when I eat them. The other reason is because it was the name given to me when I first arrived in Columbus. My personality was that of a young, and forgive me for saying this for I am no way racist, white girl. So even though I was African American on the outside, inside I was white as the inside of an Oreo. So black on the outside and white on the inside. The name just stuck after that.I'm not confident enough to call myself a neither Queen nor Princess, but I do have enough self confidence to call myself a Dutchess. It's not the highest ranks position, but it's still a position of status. Secondly, I've always had a morbid fascination with Elizabeth Bathory, who was a Dutchess. She went to such an extreme length to preserve her beauty. It reminds me of some the radical and sometimes dangerous plastic surgeries a lot of woman today undergo to maintain their beauty. It seemed to me that the gap isn't as wide as people like to think.
FAVORITE LIST Person that you know: I prefer not to choose a favorite. I love all of my friends and family equally, and I think it would biased to choose a favorite over someone else. I have mentors and people who inspire me such as my ap biology teacher, Mrs. Fortune and my English teachers, Mr. Thompson and Mrs. Brewer, from my 11th and 12th current grade year of high school. My mother and sister along with my niece even though she's just one year old. She inspires me to do my best so one day I can afford to spoil her rotten.
Quote: "Not to be judged by the color of my skin, but the content of my character." MLKJ; This quote is from the I Have a Dream speech by Martin Luther King. I come from the south were racism is still plays a part in society til this very day. It has become a less common thing, but a lot of the hatred between races still festers. I'm still waiting for someone to judge me not by the fact that I'm African American, but because I'm a good person. The quote is not just important to me, but to everyone who's had a job application turned down because they weren't a certain ethnic. They didn't get a loan from a bank because they had a low income and didn't dress for the occasion. It's for everyone who judged by what they were born as and not who they are as person.
School Subject: Science; I've alway loved science. I've been blessed to have wonderful science teachers since I started my education. They have always encouraged me to do what I love and not just do it for profit. It also doesn't hurt that I happen to really good at the subject.
Book Genre: Paranormal Romance; I really love the different elements each author/authoress uses to bring very different people or species together to find their happily ever after. I'm a big romantic at heart, so I have to feed my love for love.
Music Genre: I don't have a particular music genre I like over any other. I prefer to open-minded about all things including my music. I've listen to everything from Bluegrass to Korean Rap to Hindi prayer music to Russian techno to Hard Rock to Blues. I have no particular one I like more. I tend to listen to music according to mood most of the time.
Way to pass time: Reading; I have complete addiction to reading novels or fanfiction. It's a just passion of my mine that has help reap more rewards than anything else in my life. The value of book is priceless to me.
Food: Asian Cuisine and Italian food;
Place to be: Curled up in my bed with a good book and some nice music playing in the background or on my mp3.
BENEATH THE SURFACE: I enjoy reading and learning about cultures and life. I tend to drift off quite a bit when I'm deep in thought. I love to have intellectual conversation on just about any topic but politics. I'm a grammar nazi, so I tend to cringe when I see text lingo or just plain lack of effort when it comes to typing. I like to role-playing in spare time. I'm not great at it, but I'm proficient enough not to look like a dunce. I tend to speak with a varied vocabulary. It's not to show off; it's just a habit that has been enforced through years of Honor and Advance Placement courses. If it bothers anyone, I apologize. When I'm upset or depressed, I tend to pick up one of my many "hobbies". I'll garden, knit, cook, read, or practice some of the languages I've learned over the years to occupy my mind. I'm not fluent in any particular language but English. I'm proficient in French after taking two years of the course and I know some Italian, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese with just small sample of Russian and Mandarin Chinese. A friend tried to teach me written Arabic, but it was a lost cause. I have passion for science and it has colored my career choice. I've chosen to go into the medical field after I finish High School. I love animals too, so it was hard choice to pick between Veterinarian and Nurse Practitioner, but in the end, I chose Nurse Practitioner after joining pre-nursing classes at my high school's vocational school. I try my best to be patient and flexible with people and I don't have short temper by any means. I don't like bullies or those that pick on the weak. I'm Christian by choice and I practice abstinence, but I don't believe in pushing my choices on to other people’s lives. I try to avoid clichés as much as possible. Mostly, I'm just a girl trying to live her life the best she can.
When you look in the mirror, what do you see? A girl who is colored by the choices she's made in life and tries to her hardest to please too many people. She needs to stop looking in the past full of regrets and look into the future full of promise.
What do you feel are your most positive and negative personality traits? I'm friendly, but I tend to be short sighted and don't look much beyond the surface until after I get to know a person. I trust very rarely. I'm absent minded. I have good sense of humor, and I love to laugh. I can be crass at times, but I'm also brutally honest. I'm optimistic to a fault, but I can be negative when I need to be. I have love for sarcasm and tend to use it a lot. I love to listen to stories about hardships or joyous memories during people’s lives, so I'm a good listener. I tend to talk a lot when I'm nervous, but talk less when I'm calm. I tend to go into tangents about any topic I feel passionate about. I'm very go with flow rather than fight the current.
Choose one topic that you feel has affected your life directly. Explain. Self-Harm. I've had several friends been treated in psyche wards for self-mutilation. I've even participated in the act, but I managed to turn to my faith and find the strength to over come. All pf my friend who had been treated for it has been children of divorce parents who are rarely around during a time in their life when they are gravely needed. I thank goodness all of them have been able to be treated and helped for it, and now lead normal and very productive lives. It's something that affects a lot of teens and I've been there too.
What are your personal preferences when it comes to socialization, what type of people do you feel that you get along with best? (i.e personality traits, hobbies, mannerisms, appearance, etc) I get along best with people who honest and don't get offended easily. I tend to stick my foot in my mouth sometimes when all I'm trying to do is help. I don't really care about much else though. All my friends are vastly different for one another. Some of my friends like to play D & D while others are daredevils and do stunts off the back of moving vehicles and others are artist and game designers. I prefer people who don't drink or smoke, but it doesn't matter to me personally as long as you are aware of what it does to your health. It's your body, not mine. I really don't care how a person looks. They could be purple and look like a toad for all I care as long as they have good heart and good intentions.
What do you want your life to be like in five years? An officer in the US Airforce and RN or Phystical Therapist
What is one experience that has shaped who you are as a person more so than any other? Once, my sister snuck her boyfriend into the house through a window. At the time, we shared a bed. So they had sex while I was in the bed with them. It was horrible and disgusting. From that moment on, I vowed to turn myself into the very opposite of my sister in everyway possible and that changed me into the person I am today.
If you could erase one memory of your's, what would it be? Why did you choose that memory? I would choose no memory to erase. My memories are my history and they shape who I am today and keep me from repeating past mistakes. I would never want to loose any of them, the good or the bad.
