Following that meeting, Shinji set out to become a magus, hoping to free himself and his sister from the clutches of Zouken. For all the help he received, Jaune was still in danger of failing. So Glynda did as a good teacher does and called him in for extra lessons.

Jaune approaches Oscar in order to talk to Ozpin about aura. He just unlocked his semblance and he is looking to understand more about how his aura and semblance works. He ends up learning more than he thought he would.

With Jaune's life, he has been though a lot of things and lives with the same amount of it as well. He lives alone, doesn't have any friends, and people don't talk to him much. It makes him the ideal candidate to have his home forcibly claimed by the government for it be a Safehouse. He must tend to the needs of all who visit and he can't say anything against it.

Mistake. Unwanted. Whoreson. He was all of these things. Forced to veil his own existence, Jaune shunned himself to obscurity, far from the woes of his bloodline.
