Sir Anthony Strallan never expected his life would be turned upside down at the Callendar Becketts' Ball early in the summer of 1914. Lady Edith Crawley never expected that any man would choose her above her more alluring sisters. They were both wrong. NOW COMPLETE!

AU bit of fluff with no spoilers. Sir Anthony and Lady Strallan are on honeymoon. They are staying in a hotel in Paris, and Edith plays a little joke on her English Milord, but gets more than she expected. One-shot with adult themes merely hinted at.

In this story, which is written like a script, Edith and Matthew get more than they bargained for at the cricket match. Written after 3.07 and before 3.08. There are spoilers for 3.03 onwards. Although there is a bit of peril in this tale, no one gets hurt. Anthony's actions may feel a bit dramatic for him, but who knows to what extremes misery can drive a man.

Set after Robert has warned Anthony to stay away from Edith, but my pure fantasy thereafter. I don't own the characters, they merely live in my head. There are historical events mentioned in this story that are true, but I don't think Sir Anthony Strallan was actually part of them, except here in this story. Rated T for safety.
